A woman died and another person was injured Monday morning in a domestic violence-related homicide in Voorhees as detectives were searching for a man charged with her murder, investigators said.
Gregory Kelemen, 57, of Voorhees, is charged with murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of a weapon in relation to the death of 22-year-old Katherine Kelemen, according to a joint statement from the Voorhees Police Department and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
The relationship between the two was unclear and a spokesman for the office could not immediately be reached for comment.
Police were called to a home on the 100 block of Round Hill Road at 6:49 a.m. after they received a 911 call reporting an assault of two people, the office said. When officers arrived, they found Katherine and another, unidentified person inside the home.
She was rushed to Jefferson University Hospital in Stratford to be treated for blunt force trauma-related injuries and was pronounced dead at 8:17 a.m., police said.
The second person was taken to a nearby hospital was in stable condition Monday night, the office said. The person was not publicly identified.
The investigation identified Gregory Keleman as a suspect but he had not yet been apprehended as of 8 p.m., authorities said.

Thoughts? As of this posting date (November 23rd, 2021), the case against Kelemen is still listed as active warrant status in New Jersey's online municipal court records. People who are replying to Facebook postings about the manhunt are saying Katherine was Gregory's own daughter, but this has not been officially confirmed by Voorhes Police and/or in any articles.
