He is also wanted for armed robbery of a gas station after the shootout. Magan was in a group home at the time. Only 16, he had been using drugs and running with gangs, as well as starting fights with other gang members at the home. One night, he and another man, Justin Flint, were pulled over and asked to step out when the officer noticed drug paraphernalia in the car. Magan then pulled a gun and fired at the officer, who returned fire. No one was hit. He and Flint drove off and later robbed a gas station. Flint later turned himself in, but Magan is still on the run. Last year, AMW producers apparently received a call from someone claiming to be Magan, who also claimed to be living in Chattanooga. I guess nothing came from that, since he's still out there. He was also allegedly spotted in a gang round up 10 years ago, but was also able to escape. Thoughts? Update from site admin: I could find no new articles online since theczar's original posting in 2013. As far as I can tell, Magan is still at large as of this update (7/23/2018). However, if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know. Chattanooga seemed like a weird place for Magan to hide but authorities seemed to think it wasn't a prank.
I personally am surprised AMW removed Magan aka Magana from their site considering the recent news.

If it truly was Magan who placed the call from Tennessee, then perhaps he decided to flee by now? Tennessee does appear to be a weird place for someone like Magan to hide; the unconfirmed sighting in a gang round up 10 years ago makes one think he's still hiding out in Southern California.

Hi Flaca welcome to the forum! Yeah the person was never confirmed to be Magan. It seems investigators seemed to think it could have been him since Chattanooga is right off a major highway connecting a bunch of states but even then you'd have to wonder why he's travelling across the country. But of course it could have been a prank call. I guess we'll never know until he's arrested but I agree him still being in California is still a strong possibility.

I do remember his profile on amw. He must be hiding in South California under a false identity.

My guess he spent his life on the run either hanging out with Latino gangs trying to fit in (especially if the 2003 spotting is any indicator) or just became a general outlaw. After that it's unclear if the criminal life got to him, he's still a part of that life to this day or he since "straightened up" and leading a life on low profile.

I agree with these theories and opinions. As we saw with Vincent Walters and Rene Munoz, not all of these gang and drug fugitives stay in that lifestyle forever. Some do however, as we also saw with Jose Luis Saenz. I do think that Shane Magan is catchable. I also feel that there may be gang members in the Pomona, California area that may have more information then they've told law enforcement.
