Fugitive Profile as of October 23rd, 2021: (Based on Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Most Wanted profile)
Suspect: Glenn D. Blades
Suspect DOB: 08/22/1973
Suspect Description: White Male, 5’9”, 200lbs, 47-year-old, Brown Hair, Blue Eyes
Wanted on Suspicion of: 10 Counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
In December of 2018, Glenn Bales was arrested in Maricopa County Arizona and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor after several people reported receiving unsolicited images through a popular online male dating app called "Grindr", according to police.
Phoenix and Tempe police received six separate reports from Feb. 27 to April 21 about a Grinder dating app account, under the name of "Matt," that was sending unsolicited images depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor, court documents filed by police show.
Matt, later identified as Glenn Bales, 45, was reported by a witness to be at a residence on the 4500 block of North 22nd Street. The witness was invited to the house and was on the patio when Bales produced a rose gold iPad and opened it to show multiple pages of saved images and videos that appeared to be young children involved in sex acts, the court documents show.
The witness learned the resident's real name was Glenn Bales when he passed his debit card to his adult son, who lives with him, the court documents show.
The witness also reported that Bales kept a black thumb drive, which he plugged into a bedroom television and played a video. The witness further reported that Bales had shown him images and videos that he stored on his Apple iPhone, the court documents stated.
After an investigation, another thumb drive was found with content depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.
Bales was taken into custody on Nov. 28th, 2018 in lieu of a $20,000 bond. A complaint was filed Dec. 3 in Maricopa County Superior Court with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
However, the story doesn't end there, as a search of Maricopa County's online criminal court records, which now shows 10 open counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, also now shows Bales appeared to stop showing up for his court dates, and the last event as of today's posting date (October 23rd, 2021), was a warrant for Bales' arrest.
Additionally, as of our aforementioned posting date, Bales is still listed on the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office's website as one of their Most Wanted fugitives.
