HOOD RIVER, Ore. – Authorities identified human remains found on a remote Mount Hood forest road in 2003 as belonging to a missing woman, and Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a reward for help in solving her homicide.
Tisha Ann Dyer’s family and friends say she had not been seen or heard from since 2002. She was 36 years old at the time of her disappearance and was thought to be living in the Portland area.
Authorities say someone located human remains in June of 2003 along a forest road in Hood River County.
In 2021, the Oregon State Medical Examiner identified those remains as Dyer’s.
Investigators say Tisha was not known to be involved in hiking or any other outdoor activities that would have taken her to a remote location on Mount Hood.
When she went missing, Dyer was about 5-foot 5-inches tall, and weighed around 130 pounds.
Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 cash for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime and tipsters can remain anonymous.
