Digna Bardales is accused of beating her 16-month old son, Jonathan Manjarrez to death as he was crying. She was arrested on a capital murder charge. However, the capital murder case was dropped the following month without an official explanation.
According to the Harris County Court Records database, a murder charge was reinstated for Digna on December 19, 2002. However, she had since fled and is now a fugitive.

Thoughts? As of today, September 7, 2021, the murder case for Digna Bardales in the Harris County Court Records database is classified as "warrant/citation issued". It also shows Digna as not in custody. This will be our reference to confirm that Digna is still at large.
I'm not sure why the original capital murder charge was dismissed/dropped. The only thing that makes sense was that they were downgrading the charge to murder for some reason.
Also we can unfortunately add Digna to the growing list of fugitives who are wanted for murdering children and are most likely hiding in Honduras. Alexis Flores, Berny Figueroa and even Selvin Lopez are other fugitives that come to mind. Sadly Digna would be untouchable if she returned to Honduras. This is especially concerning if she had any more children while being a fugitive.
