According to the Fort Worth PD cold case website, Alfonzo Barboza is wanted for a 1992 homicide that occurred on 2900 Avenue H in Fort Worth.
Newspapers.com archives confirm that a homicide occurred at that address on April 11, 1992. 26-year old Jose Castaneda went to a residence with a woman to pick up some belongings. The two were reportedly confronted by a man who got into an argument with Jose about the woman. Jose was then shot to death. I'm concluding that this is the homicide Alfonzo Barboza is wanted for. It seems like that back in the 1980s and most of the 1990s, the Fort Worth Star Telegram did not tend to mention the names of suspects in homicide investigations for whatever reason.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Fort Worth Police Cold Case Unit if you have any information on Alfonzo Barboza's whereabouts. Phone numbers for the cold case detectives can be found at police.fortworthtexas.gov/get-involved/cold-cases

Thoughts? As of today, August 23, 2021, Alfonzo Barboza is "most likely still at large" since he is listed in the outstanding warrants document on the Fort Worth Police Cold Case Unit's website. That document has not been updated in several years and there is currently no way to confirm warrants out of Tarrant County online. I do feel that Alfonzo is still at large due to the lack of any media publicity on the internet and the fact that he has been wanted since 1992.
