According to Newspapers.com archives, Juan Herrera is wanted for the homicide of 27-year old Juan Gonzales. Juan Gonzales was in a pickup truck outside his brother's apartment when 15 gunshots were fired at the truck. The suspected motive for the homicide was a year long dispute over stolen property.
Juan Herrera and his accomplice both fled. The accomplice was quickly arrested after he crossed the US-Mexico border in El Paso, Texas. Juan Herrera on the other hand has never been located.

Thoughts? As of today, June 24, 2021, Juan Herrera still has a 1st Degree Murder warrant in the Oklahoma County warrant directory. There seems to be a bit of conflicting information on the spelling of his middle name and his exact DOB. However, everything else matches based on what was on the Newspapers.com article.
Hopefully this case can fully be resolved someday for the family of Juan Gonzales. The article stated that the victim, Juan Gonzales had been accused of stealing property. That in no way justifies Juan Gonzales being killed by 15 gunshots if that is in fact what happened.
