I’m really glad that Chauvin was found Guilty on all counts because murder is murder and based on that video it seemed like it was intentional, so I’m glad for this verdict. With Derek Chauvin’s verdict, I really hope we can hold cops accountable for their actions when they are in the wrong going forward and there’s no room for error on law enforcement’s part because the world is watching, the people that law enforcement claims to protect and serve is watching. |

But now Nancy Pelosi spoiled it a bit by crediting George Floyd for sacrificing himself. Yet another reason why the actual left wing of the planetary political spectrum can't stand her and other corporate Democrats from the center of the DC spectrum, and why Pelosi doesn't deserve a comparison to the social democrats to which United Statish left-wingers' policy platforms align.
But you're right. It proves all hope isn't lost in reining in our system of law enforcement even after all the corruption and abuses were exposed and we didn't feel like we were making progress for most of a decade.
