Remarks: Pliego has a medical condition which requires dialysis multiple times a week. Pliego possesses a Mexican passport and, although he has illegal status in the United States and was deported once before in 1992, it is possible that he may try to return to the United States to receive this treatment. He has ties to Mexico, as well as San Jose, Salinas, Vallejo, and Modesto, California.

Julio Cesar Pliego is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of his previous girlfriend, using both a knife and a gun, on May 15, 2013, in San Jose, California. At the time of the murder, it was alleged that Pliego was stalking his previous girlfriend and also threatening her new boyfriend. After the murder, Pliego fled to Mexico City, but may have returned to the United States. On May 16, 2013, a local arrest warrant for Pliego was issued in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, after he was charged with murder. Then, on June 14, 2013, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Pliego in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, San Jose, California, after he was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Thoughts? This is extremely brutal and just overkill. No one deserves to die the way Veronica did and we need to get justice for her. I fear if Pliego fled to Mexico since he is a native, but investigators seem to believe he could potentially be back in California. What interests me is his medical condition that requires dialysis. That could be the key to solving this case wherever he seeks help.
