She requested a speedy trial. Let's hope all of her lies and time on the run blows up in her face, especially given that she'll have to take the stand in all likelihood.

P.S. Least important but the article accidentally thought AMW was still hosted by John Walsh. JW will always be a legend but credit to where credit is due to Liz Vargas on this particular one lol.
(Even though it seems sadly the reboot didn't work out ratings wise I am glad to see something good come out of it).

(Even though it seems sadly the reboot didn't work out ratings wise I am glad to see something good come out of it). That is what makes me sad about it failing. It did good in catching bad guys/gals for the time it was on the air and could have kept doing so. But IMO, people wanted John Walsh, not Liz Vargas and when they didn't get that, tuned out. Back to the case at hand, there was no way in heck Gracey & Jones could claim they didn't know about issues with boats they owned in a company they owned and I think the lawyers got that through to them. As I've said before, if they had just accepted responsibility way back in 2011 when this happened, they would both be out of prison by now and free to resume their lives, as the charges they faced only had a max sentence of ten years. Instead, they spent the last decade on the run and will likely(let's hope so) be spending the rest of this decade in prison. Was it worth it in the end, especially when it came to saving $$$ which cost an innocent woman her life?

The only thing I'd disagree with is people wanted John Walsh and no one else, it wasn't Liz Vargas in particular. She was the unfortunate recipient of "insert literally anyone not named John Walsh here."
But yeah it's a shame AMW 2.0 didn't work out, but Fox and the production didn’t bring it back the right way unfortunately. (Gracey and Jones was one of the few flawless segments and we see it resulted in a capture).
Wish a different team or someone associated with old AMW had come in instead.

Agree with that part as well. Sometimes you have to stick with what works and they sadly didn't in too many aspects of it.

I haven't seen a press release from the DOJ saying they've been sentenced so I assume that's for another date.

Jones been sentenced to 51 months of imprisonment (4.25 calendar years) and a three-year term of supervised release. Alison Gracey was sentenced to the time she already has served in custody – 18.5 months (1.5 calendar years) and a one-year term of supervised release. Both will be deported at the conclusion of their terms. www.justice.gov/usao-sdfl/pr/british-citizens-sentenced-death-scuba-diver

These two choose to put the public at risk so they could save a few $$$ and then tried to evade justice for years and this is what they get? What a joke.
