I'll let everyone know if the proceedings happened yesterday or not and what the results are if I find out from my source or otherwise. In the meantime, there's also the Missing Aimee blog to keep track. missingaimee.blogspot.com/?m=1

Wanted to add one more thing. This case bothers me not just for what they did to Aimee but as I've mentioned before, if you look at the charges they were facing, the highest sentence for Gracey would have been eight years and ten for Jones. Who knows if they would have gotten the max but even if they had, they would have only had to serve 85% of the sentence which means both of them would have been out of prison by now. They could have accepted responsibility for what they did, done their time and gone on to live their lives, something Aimee Rhoads will never get to do. Instead they ran like the cowards they are and still trying to avoid punishment. I hope they get the book thrown at them.

Reminds me of John and Julianne Dimitrion (who are unfortunately still at large). They were able to plea bargain down to where they were likely only facing a year or two and fled anyway.

Spanish-language article about the case. The extradition hearings appear to be separate, so we can oddly see a scenario where Gracey is sent back but not Jones or vice versa. Hopefully both are sent back though. They claim they didn't work in the business, but it doesn't add up to me they wouldn't know about the numerous violations sent to them in the months leading up to Aimee's tragic death. www.larazon.es/internacional/20210910/ua6chzwa3nc2tbir7agtiv5ueu.html

If nothing else, if they had other partners who were responsible for safety and upkeep, why didn't they mention them ten years ago? Why go on the run if it wasn't your fault? They're simply making up crap and hoping it sticks, let's hope the judge doesn't fall for it.

According to my source, Jones's next court appearance is scheduled via video for the end of this month.

According to my source, Jones's next court appearance is scheduled via video for the end of this month. Given that they sent Gracey back, I fully expect them to send Jones back soon as well and we pretty much know the defense they'll use, that others were running the company and they had no clue about the day to day operations. Absurd but it's all they've got. Also, as I've said before, if these two had just accepted responsibility for their neglect that led to the death of a innocent woman and done their time, they would both be out of prison by now. Instead, they'll have wasted a decade of their life on the run and will be spending most of this decade in prison if things go the way they should. Let's hope Aimee's family can soon get the justice they deserve.

Gracey hasn't officially been sent back but her extradition has been approved so it's only a matter of time.

Still no word yet on Chris Jones but remember cases always get delayed sometimes.

Glad to see these two are finally back on American soil and will finally face justice for causing Aimee's death.
