(Above photo credit: CBS Detroit) The family of a woman found dead in the trunk of a classic car several years ago is pleading for help to find the man believed to have killed her. Ali Hourani is wanted for the murder of Danielle Munoz on March 12, 2007. Munoz, 26, was found shot in the neck in the trunk of a Chevy Caprice parked outside Redford Township A & H Express Lube on Plymouth Road near Southwestern Highway. Munoz’s family members, at the time, described Hourani as abusive, and reported that Munoz told them if she ever went missing they should suspect him. Munoz’s cousin Juanita Serrata told WWJ Newsradio 950 that Hourani fled to Beirut in his native Lebanon shortly after Munoz’s death, but the family has reason to believe he is back in the Detroit area. Serrata fought tears as she asked for anyone with information to please come forward. “You have to think about it … if it was your family. He could go and he could do this to another person,” Serrata said. “And I don’t want no one to be scared. We will keep you anonymous. “We just really want him to be caught. We want him off the streets,” she said. “He deserves to be in jail; he deserves to pay for this. He’s had seven years already that he’s been living his life.” Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward for the tip that leads to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Houranis is asked contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-SPEAK UP. Tips can also be submitted online at 1800speakup.org, or you can text your tip to CRIMES (274637).
Crime Stoppers is a completely anonymous program. Callers are never asked for their names or phone numbers and are not asked to testify in court. detroit.cbslocal.com/2014/03/19/tips-sought-to-catch-man-wanted-for-girlfriends-murder-in-2007/www.freerepublic.com/focus/fr/1801214/postsAdmin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Thoughts? I admit it's unusual for me to post two cases in one day on this forum sans breaking news, but I expect to be somewhat busy next week, so I wanted to submit my weekly exclusive fugitive today instead of in the next few days when I might not get a chance. I wanted to add this case for a while but got a little sidetracked with breaking news. So I'm adding it today since time is of the essence here before Hourani flees back to Lebanon if he indeed returned to the U.S.
Although an entirely different circumstance, this case reminds me somewhat of Mo Atat in that a man wanted for a murder in Michigan flees to the Middle East and a country with no extradition treaty with the U.S. Unfortunately all I have is that grainy picture. But it looks like some kind of mechanic suit (another irony considering Atat's connection to cars). So based on that, and the Express Lube/Classic Car connection, I'm assuming Hourani was some kind of mechanic. Wish the articles would be more specific though.

I wonder why Danielle Munoz's family believes that Ali Hourani is back in the Detroit area? If he is in Michigan again then he needs a lot of publicity before he has the chance to flee back to Lebanon.

For what it's worth, learned through the Detroit Criminal Court case search system Hourani's full name is Ali Majed Hourani.

As of this posting date (12/15/2017), and according to online Wayne County court records, there has still no movement in the court case against Hourani since his warrant was issued in 2007. It should also be mentioned that Hourani's date of birth on the system is listed as 8/5/1975, which would make Hourani 42 years old as of this posting date. cmspublic.3rdcc.org/CaseDetail.aspx?CaseID=196170

As of today, May 5, 2021, there is still no movement in Ali Hourani's court case in the Wayne County Court Records database since it was issued in 2007.
In addition, I did not see an UFAP type of case in PACER for Ali Hourani.
