FBI Crime Description:
Frantz Dieudonne is being sought for his alleged involvement in sex-related crimes with a minor, after being indicted in Illinois on October 1, 2002, and in Utah on February 26, 2003. From November of 2001 through May of 2002, Dieudonne allegedly traveled across state lines from Pennsylvania to Utah to engage in sex with a 15-year-old minor. On June 1, 2002, Dieudonne was arrested in North Aurora, Illinois, for allegedly transporting a minor in interstate commerce with the intent to engage in sex and was released on bond one week later. Dieudonne was scheduled for a pre-trial motion on September 22, 2003, in the Northern District of Illinois, but he failed to appear, and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. Dieudonne also failed to appear for trials, which were scheduled for October 20, 2003, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and November 3, 2003, in Chicago, Illinois."
Thoughts? Dieudonne was aired on August 27th, 2005 on AMW although I don't know the profile length. The reason I'm bringing this case up again is Dieudonne just got a new article written about him on the CBS Crimesider website. It interviews a special agent in charge with the Chicago field office that states although he has ties to the East Coast he may have fled to Haiti.
They mention outside the borders sometimes presents difficulty. I understand that, and while AMW's never had a direct capture in Haiti, they did extradite US Marshals Top 15 fugitive Wesnel Isaac, so I don't see why they wouldn't extradite Dieudonne. I think the reason it's so hard to find guys in certain parts of the Caribbean isn't so much the country's cooperation (admittedly sometimes it is) but rather because these fugitives are natives they blend in more easily- the same way Hispanic fugitives blend in Mexico and you see so many white, black, Asian, any type of non-Hispanic guys that look out of place get caught there.
The other difficulty is Dieudonne an also be anywhere in the country as well. Utah, Illinois, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is a pretty diverse range. So it seems even if he is in the states, he might still move around a lot. What we need is for someone to spot him and call him or in. Or for Haiti to hopefully send him back if he fled there.
