(Above photo credit: weartv.com via Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office) From weartv.com: OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. -- A warrant has been issued for a man in relation to a suspicious death at a mobile home in the Niceville area. Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the home at 1534 Pine Street around 7:20 a.m. Wednesday for a missing person call and possible death. Deputies found a deceased female -- later identified as 45-year old Lauryn Marotto -- underneath bedding in the master bedroom. An autopsy will be conducted. Okaloosa County investigators have issued a warrant for 57-year old Bret Bay, who lived at the trailer with Marotto, for tampering with evidence. Bay and his white 1995 Isuzu station wagon are currently missing. Bay is a white male with gray hair and brown eyes, 5'10" tall and weighing around 200 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the OCSO at 850.651.7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850.863.TIPS.weartv.com/news/local/man-wanted-by-deputies-after-roommate-found-dead-in-okaloosa-county-homeThoughts? Based on the above article's posting date, Bay was still wanted at least as of January 15th, 2021. I don't see him in Florida warrants public access search yet but I'm assuming that's because this is a recent warrant. I'll continually check there as well.
