Gordon Thomas Page disappeared from a foster care home in 1991. His case was aired on Unsolved Mysteries in 1994 however I don't know if it was ever aired on AMW.
Gordon grew up with problems regarding math and communicating with others, especially at his grocery store job. Social workers incorrectly diagnosed him with schizophrenia and gave him several drugs that he didn't need. In 1989 while in a group home, he stole a truck and crashed it, claiming he wanted to visit his brother in Texas. A social worker in a hospital diagnosed him with autism and Gordon was placed in a new group home in Grand Rapids, Michigan that specialized in working with people with autism. Two months later, he had an emotional visit with his father and was sad that he couldn't go back with him. Six days later on May 27, 1991, Gordon disappeared from the group home. Six weeks later a collection of baseball cards were found under a highway overpass, three of them were of Gordon's favourite players, that collection may have been his.
Thoughts? The most accepted explanation as to whatever happened to Gordon is that he may have been admitted to a hospital somewhere due to his medical conditions as a John Doe. I've read that Gordon's father once managed a website where he said that a fitness center manager in California claimed to have seen his son several times. Given the right case attention, I feel that this is quite solvable, since Gordon is probably still alive.
