(Above photo credit: nbcchicago.com) From NBC 5 Chicago (nbcchicago.com): The suspect in a double homicide and child abduction case in suburban Riverdale remains at large, police say. According to authorities, Clarence Hebron, 32, is wanted in connected with the killings and the child abduction, which took place early Friday in the 14000 block of South Tracy Avenue in Riverdale. An Amber Alert was issued on Friday afternoon, and just after 5 p.m. police reported that K’marion Hebron, 1, was returned safely to a local police station. Clarence Hebron remains at large Friday, according to authorities. He was last seen driving a 2009 silver Dodge Caravan minivan, with Illinois license plate CA96676. Hebron is described as a Black male, standing 5-foot-6 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information in the case is encouraged to call 911.www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/suspect-remains-at-large-following-double-homicide-child-abduction-in-riverdale/2381699/Thoughts? Based on online articles, Hebron was still at large at least as of November 27th, 2020. I should stress usually we don't mention a missing child's name when they're recovered but because there was an active Amber Alert and this is still an active fugitive case, the articles are mentioning K'marion's name anyway so unfortunately there's nothing I could do about that. UPDATE: On December 4th, 2020, it was announced the FBI is now helping in the manhunt for Clarence Hebron. The public can report tips to the FBI, which is offering a reward, at 312-421-6700 or anonymously online at tips.fbi.gov.Admin Note: If you have any (news-related) updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Edit: Some articles have Jessica and her brother's last name as Beal while others have it as Abeal. Any clarity would be appreciated. I think Beal is a more common last name and that's probably the actually correct one but I don't want to assume just in case.
Edit: Most updated articles have their last name as Beal.

As far as I can tell, Hebron is unfortunately still at large at the moment.
I just wanted to go on a mini-rant.
Although the election taught me that thankfully overall America does not represent the Facebook comments sections on news postings, so I've been a lot calmer than in the past when seeing troll comments on news articles, I'm still very disappointed to see some of the comments in reaction to a WGN Facebook posting the other day about Hebron.
Nearly every comment was about "here's another Black Lives Matter Hero" or a mocking "His mama said he didn't do nufin" comment. Even scarier is the amount of haha reactions and likes these comments got.
For goodness f-ing sake, two people lost their lives and a 1-year-old boy is without his mother (and likely father even if he may be an alleged murderer) for the rest of his life and people are enjoying themselves over racist jokes about it.
If you want to make a serious comment about lax bail reform laws that allowed Hebron to be out of jail when he never should have been in the first place, I feel that would be a fair comment. But to be making racial jokes about this awful tragedy of a situation is extremely low class and abhorrent.
There are victims in this case. There are loved ones of the victims in this case. People should keep them in mind before hitting reply on social media.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s added first thing Monday morning or shockingly he’s added over the weekend.

Hopefully. Also just wanted to clarify I've seen other Facebook postings and while there might be the occasional immature comment, it seems that only/primarily the WGN Facebook page where nearly every post looks like a Klan rally. So for whatever reason they're attracting them. The majority of replies elsewhere are thankfully acknowledging the tragedy and/or critiquing the failure of the justice system (which once again is fair and this guy should have never been out in the first place).

Just wanted to add possible whereabouts-wise the article says Hebron may be hiding in either Michigan or Minnesota.

For those wondering, I did not forget to pick a new case of the week this week. Just this case has pissed me off so much I've decided to have Hebron as Fugitive of the Week for two weeks in a row, which is a forum first (Ricardo Villanueva-Cordova and Leslie Jandert have been FOTWs twice but in separate weeks). It's great that K'Marion was recovered, but the case doesn't end until Hebron is in custody as well.

Actually decided forget just having Hebron as case of the week this week as he's now been named my #1 Most Wanted fugitive of 2020 where he will remain until the end of the year unless he's caught sooner.
Hebron just barely made the cutoff date to be considered eligible for even making the overall most wanted list (cases need to be added to the site before December 1st to be eligible), and normally I'd prefer a fugitive on the run for at least a month to be #1 (not that I'd complain if they're caught sooner but I'd theoretically prefer a fugitive topping the list to be someone who would likely still be at large in January of the next year only because I want to highlight a case with some degree of difficulty), but this case is just way too horrible for Hebron not to be #1, and also, I don't think I've ever had a #1 most wanted fugitive caught before the new year can even begin before, so hopefully this added publicity will help in making history for my list.
Of course, my list doesn't matter in the long run, what matters is getting justice for Jessica and Damien Beal.

Reading over this thread, I appreciate the massive publicity efforts to bring Clarence Hebron to justice. However, it's been nearly a month and so far Clarence has not been caught. Putting him on the FBI's website would be a very good idea to alert readers who don't go through Google News stories daily/weekly.

Yeah as horrible as a case as this is, my only hesitation in making Hebron my #1 Most Wanted fugitive of 2020 and giving him a front page headline until the end of the year was that he wasn't on the run that long where he in theory had a better chance at capture before the end of the year than another fugitive I could have picked. However we are getting dangerously close to the year ending with him still not being captured anyway so I agree he really needs to be added to the FBI website itself and in my opinion if possible they need to add him to the top ten list as well ASAP.

Right before the FBI goes on break for the holidays, they really should add Clarence Hebron to the Top Ten before the end of this upcoming week, to finally bring this low life. He’s been out there too long.

Just wanted note that I'm not giving up on Hebron by taking him off the front page. Just when I said he was going to be there until the end of the year, I didn't mean the literal end of the year- I just meant for the rest of the year when there would otherwise be cases of the week. Since this current week now falls into 2021 it is time to go back to highlighting one case a week.
Hebron was on our site front page for a full month which is pretty good imo. Hopefully now it's the FBI's turn and they at least put him on their actual website if not the top ten list.
