CANTON, Miss. - The search continues for four little girls missing from Canton. They're believed to be with their fugitive parents, who have been indicted for child neglect and child abuse.
Their mother, 28-year-old Sonia Coronado and stepfather- 24-year-old Fernando Pelayo are thought to have the girls. He wasn't supposed to have contact with them, authorities say.
Coronado was previously indicted on two counts of felony child neglect and Pelayo was indicted in 2008 for felony child abuse of the same children.
The children are 1, 2, 5, and 6-years-old and were last seen on Sunday, September 7th. They were not reported missing to Canton Police until this past Friday, which was five days later.
Police have no information on the children's biological father.
Pelayo is also a suspect in a child abuse case against the children.
