Shamekka Garnette
The body of Shamekka Garnette was located near a drainage ditch off of Old Boyce Rd. Ms. Garnette was 20 years old at the time of her death. She was last seen leaving home on Friday night 08/13/2004 at approximately 11:30 pm in a friend's vehicle. The vehicle was later located abandoned at the on-ramp to I-49 at Lee St. in Alexandria. Thoughts? Shamekka's case has been mentioned as possibly being connected to the case of Courtney Coco. Courtney was a friend of Shamekka and she too would tragically be a murder victim four months later.
