A young mother is fighting for her life after investigators say someone entered her home and viciously attacked her. On October 7, 2020, detectives say a suspect nearly beat 27-year-old Rose Zolman inside her house in the 1400 block of Shaw Road in Fayetteville, NC.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office confirms to CrimeFeed that Zolman arrived home around 6 a.m. and less than two hours later, a man described as her roommate placed a call to 911. WRAL reports the friend told dispatch: "I think somebody broke in the house and almost killed my friend. Please sir, ma'am. My friend is bleeding to death. I need somebody here."
Monica Simpson, Zolman's sister, says her sister continues to fight for her life in the hospital through her recovery. According to the GoFundMe Zolman was on a ventilator for many days after the attack and is healing from a multitude of injuries. Simpson adds her sister has, "Multiple breaks to the face. She had stab wounds and lacerations. She had broken bones in her hand, broken bones in her jaw. She's missing teeth. Her mouth is wired shut."
Although Zolman's family describes this as a "home invasion," the sheriff's office says they did not find evidence of a break in. The case is formally listed in the Cumberland County Sheriff's system as an "aggravated assault."
WRAL says at the time of this attack Zolman's 2-year-old child was inside the house and the male inside the home who made the 911 call is not a suspect.
Simpson says her sister has received one surgery to fix her jaw and her detached tongue muscles. The surgery was supposed to take under three hours, but ended up going six hours.
Zolman has a long recovery ahead with her family at her side. Loved ones are caring for her toddler while she continues the road ahead.
Investigators say Zoelman does not have a description of her attacker.

Thoughts? I am placing Rose's case in the Unsolved on TV section because In Pursuit with John Walsh is covering her case on their ID channel crimefeed pages.
Also it is because of this I am making a special exception as I am usually hesitant to post cases where named victims survive but there's no known suspect- not because I don't care but because sometimes the victim may be uncomfortable with their name on a nationally read website's media- but since this case is on both In Pursuit's Facebook page and ID website page it seems like Rose's friends and family are asking for publicity to find the a-hole who committed this brutal attack and hopefully the coverage leads to an arrest.
UPDATE: In July 2022, Rose Zolman was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident that is being investigated as a homicide. At the moment they are considered separate cases and it is advised to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office if you have information on either case
