Union County investigators are asking the public to help find a man wanted for sexually assaulting a child two summers ago in Plainfield.
Jose A. Donis, who last lived in the 900 block of West Third Street, is charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child under age 13 and third-degree endangering, according to police and prosecutors.
Donis' age was not immediately available and not included in court records filed with the case.
The alleged abuse took place from early June to late September 2018 while the victim was on summer vacation and Donis rented a room in the building where she lived, according to Union County Assistant Prosecutor Kathleen Dillon.
Donis was charged in June of this year but police have been unable to find him. On Wednesday, the prosecutor’s office released a recent photo of Donis, along with a press release seeking his whereabouts.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives in the prosecutor’s office at 908-868-0391.
The Union County Crime Stoppers organization is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment. Tips can be called in anonymously at 908-654-8477 or sent online at www.uctip.org.

Thoughts? As far as I can tell, Donis is still at large as of this posting date (October 4th, 2020) since the above article is from only a week ago with no updates since. Of course, if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates, they are always more than welcome to let us know.
