Thoughts? As of this posting date (9/25/2020), Taylor is still listed as a wanted fugitive on Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers: www.crimestoppersbr.com/sitemenu.aspx?ID=321&P=wanteds&
Also, as bad as this case is, Taylor's criminal and alleged criminal history makes it downright ridiculous he was even free to alleged commit this labor day weekend tragedy.
Apparently he was a suspect in the 2004 kidnapping and murder of one man whose body was found inside a burning truck, and the January 2005 shooting of another man. He then fled to Las Vegas where him and his girlfriend wound up in a high-speed chase in which his girlfriend shot at the officers pursuing them. Both him and the girlfriend were sentenced to 14-40 years in prison. Taylor was returned to Baton Rouge in 2015 but it is unclear what happened with the murder and attempted murder cases from 2004/2005 at least from what I can find at the moment: www.wafb.com/story/30073272/suspect-in-2004-kidnapping-murder-returns-to-br-after-serving-time-in-las-vegas/
Regardless, this is obviously a guy who is not going to stop allegedly committing violent acts until he's caught, so let's hope we can make up for the failures of the justice system and- if proven guilty in a court of law- he can finally be put away for life.
