Sabrina Aisenberg disappeared from her family's home 17 years ago. AMW aired this case on May 29, 1999.
Sabrina was born to parents Steve and Marlene Aisenberg in Jun 1997. On Nov 24, 1997, Marlene put Sabrina to bed and returned to her room seven hours later, but saw that her daughter was no longer in her crib. Located near her crib was an unidentified piece of blonde hair, a shoe print on the crib, as well as several unidentified fingerprints in the house. A neighbour reported hearing sounds of a baby crying and his dog barking during the time that Sabrina was supposed to be sleeping.
Investigators suspected that Sabrina's parents were responsible for her disappearance. They obtained permission to place listening devices throughout the home. Transcripts claimed that her parents said that their daughter was dead during the tapings. However in 2001, a judge found the authorities lied when seeking permission to place the wiretaps, and there was nothing on the tapes that matched what was claimed on the transcripts. Charges of conspiracy were dropped against Steve and Marlene and the lead prosecutor was demoted. Since then, Steve and Marlene have cooperated with police.
Thoughts? I really doubt that Steve and Marlene were involved in their daughter's disappearance and it seems like authorities never have done a proper investigation. Not looking into the blonde hair, the shoe print and the fingerprints close enough. In 2008, an informant claimed that he was part of the abduction and murder of Sabrina, however I don't know how credible those claims are. I have included the link to that report for anyone who's interested in it.
