From PennLive.com:
Authorities say Ezequiel B. Almodovar is responsible for the deaths of two men, whose bodies were found in a burned vehicle on Tuesday.
The 36-year-old, charged Wednesday with two counts of homicide, arson, tampering with evidence, and two counts of abuse of a corpse, is considered to be armed and dangerous, according to East Lampeter Township Police Department. Almodovar, of Hunsecker Road, is a wanted fugitive.
Anyone with information or know of his whereabouts is asked to call East Lampeter Township Police at 717-291-4676. Almodovar is presumed innocent.
Jonathan Rivera and Eugenio Morales-Torres were found in the bed of Morales-Torres’ burned truck Tuesday morning. Family identified them, but the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office is working to officially confirm their identities.
Autopsies are scheduled later this week.
Almodovar is accused of shooting the men Monday at his home, police said. After he shot them, police believe he placed them in the bed of the truck and set it on fire.
Dispatch received a call about the fire around 6:40 a.m on Tuesday. Through their initial investigation, and discussions with witnesses, police determined from evidence collected outside Almodovar’s home and information gathered at the fire scene, that the shooting and fire were connected.
The fire was determined to be arson, according to the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal.
The death investigation involved numerous local agencies: East Lampeter Township Police, Manor Township Police, Pennsylvania State Police, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
No further charges have been filed at this time, police said. They are still investigating and trying to determine whether anyone else was involved in either criminal acts.
