The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individuals responsible for the homicide of Vernado Jones, Jr.
Details:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Chicago Field Office, along with the Chicago Police Department in Illinois, are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the unknown individuals responsible for the murder of Vernado Jones, Jr., on July 4, 2020.
Jones, Jr., who was 14 years old at the time of his death, was shot when unknown individuals opened fire on a gathering in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, after 11:30 p.m. on July 4, 2020. A total of eight victims were shot - including two other children - and Jones, Jr., was one of four fatalities.

Thoughts? Unfortunately we've seen too many of children caught in gunfire and killed cases on the FBI website this year and in the news in general. I'm a little bit confused since this seems to be a mass shooting and quadruple homicide in which Vernado was one of the victims, but the FBI only specifically mentions Vernado by name. That is why I'm only mentioning him by name in the thread title and mean no disrespect to the other victims in this case who according to the Chicago Sun-Times are: 30-year-old Ernest Franklin, Tivon Warner, 26 and Andre Parnell Osborne, 53.
