Shannon Dale Amos Jr. (18) was taken into custody Tuesday evening (July 21). He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on two counts of L.R.S. 14:30 First Degree Murder and one count of L.R.S. 14:32.6 First Degree Feticide.
Mikayl Dietrich Young (19) still remains at large {pictured above}.

Two other Lacombe men had already been arrested in the double homicide that occurred in the Big Branch area over the weekend.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. Saturday (July 18), a passerby contacted the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office after observing an SUV parked on Bremerman Road with what appeared to be two deceased individuals inside.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies observed the bodies of a male and a pregnant female inside the vehicle. Both individuals had sustained gunshot wounds.
Monday (July 20), the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Peter Reimonenq (18) and Christopher Roberts (19) in connection with the murders. Both men were booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on two counts of L.R.S. 14:30 First Degree Murder and one count of L.R.S. 14:32.6 First Degree Feticide.
Warrants had also been issued for the arrests of Shannon Dale Amos Jr. (19) and Mikayl Dietrich Young (19). They are also wanted on two counts of L.R.S. 14:30 First Degree Murder and one count of L.R.S. 14:32.6 First Degree Feticide.
The murders appear to be drug related.
“This kind of violent crime will not be tolerated in St. Tammany Parish,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “I applaud the detectives with our Major Crimes Unit who worked literally around the clock to identify the individuals responsible for these murders. Our detectives will continue to work tirelessly to locate the remaining two individuals wanted in this case in or to bring closure for the families.”

Thoughts? Based on the above article's posting date, Young was still at large at least as of July 22nd, 2020. And they say this is an alleged drug-related homicide but not only is that no excuse but we see now an unborn fetus is unfortunately a victim in this tragic case as well.
