From komonews.com:
BLEWETT PASS, Wash. -- A manhunt continues in Central Washington for a suspect in the disappearance of a Kent man over a week ago.
Deputies are looking for 34-year-ol Jorge O. Alcantara-Gonzalez, according to an alert posted on the Kittitas County Sheriff's social media pages. Investigators describe Alcantara-Gonzalez as being connected with the missing person, "stolen vehicles and multiple burglaries and thefts" and say he is possibly armed.
Ian Eckles disappeared from Kent on May 16. Friends said he was on his way to Liberty to meet them for a May 17 hunting party at the time of his disappearance. An area-wide search came up empty.
But investigators have since identified Alcantara-Gonzalez as a suspect and tracked him to the U.S. 97-Blewett Pass area around Mineral Springs, but were unable to take him into custody, and he remains on the run.
Deputies say Alcantara-Gonzalez is 5 feet 7 inches tall weighing 175 pounds and was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants. He may be with a red MSR brand "Hubba Hubba" model dome-style tent with red poles and a light grey rainfly, deputies said.
If you see Alcantara-Gonzalez or anything suspicious in the area, you're asked to call 911.
Authorities said Eckles is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair, green eyes and usually wears a beanie or cap.

Thoughts? Alcantara-Gonzalez is obviously still at large as of this posting date (May 27th, 2020), since he was just named a person of interest in Eckles' disappearance today. He is a fugitive regardless, but of course makes the manhunt even more serious. Also as far as I can tell, it is just coincidence and Jorge is not related to amw.com web-exclusive fugitive Alejandro Alcantara-Gonzalez, an alleged rapist from Seattle, but I honestly can't say for sure. All I can say is I hope Jorge is caught and it helps provide answers for Ian Eckles' loved ones.
UPDATE: Although Ian Eckles is still missing, authorities believe he is sadly deceased and have charged Alcantara-Gonzalez with his presumed murder. The U.S. Marshals have now joined the manhunt for Alcantara-Gonzalez.
Anyone with information on Alcantara-Gonzalez outside Kittias County can call the US Marshal’s tip-line at 1-800-336-0102.
