PORTOLA, Calif. — Officials with the Plumas County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) received a report of an attempted kidnapping, Monday evening, in Portola.
According to PCSO, a suspect tried to get two juveniles into his vehicle by telling them he knew one of their relatives and said they asked him to give them a ride home.
Through further investigation, PCSO was able to identify the suspect as Joshua Stephan Bevan, 49, of Portola. He is described as a white man, standing 5'5" tall, and weighing around 140 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes.
PCSO says Bevan is reportedly driving a white 1994 Lincoln Sedan with CA License # 6KSL420.

Thoughts? Based on the above article posting date, Bevan was still at large at least as of yesterday (May 26th, 2020). Although thankfully the juveniles were unharmed, it is a bit scary that he even allegedly attempted to lure them in so I felt it was important to get his face out there right away just in case he isn't caught right away.
