DECATUR, Ala. – The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office has released information on someone who may be helping the man wanted for a triple murder in Danville. In addition to reporting a BOLO (be on the lookout) for Carson Ray Peters, investigators are also looking for April Hanner.
Peters is the named suspect in the shooting deaths of James Edward Miller, 55, Teresa Lynn Peters, 54, and Tammy Renee Smith, 50. Investigators say there are three capital murder warrants active for Peters. Now, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Offices says Peters might be will Hanner in a black 2013 Chevrolet 1500 pickup. The truck has an Alabama license place 52GL447.
Police received a call about a shooting on the 70-block of Flint Creek Private Drive at just before 7 p.m. on Sunday, according to DPD spokesperson Emme Long. She said three people were killed and another person was flown to a hospital in Huntsville. The person injured in the shooting has not been identified by law enforcement.
The three deceased victims have been identified as: 55-year-old James Edward Miller of Lacey’s Springs, 54-year-old Teresa Lynn Peters of Danville, and 50-year-old Tammy Renee Smith of Danville.
Decatur Police confirmed the shooting was an isolated, domestic incident.
Decatur police say there are three active warrants for the arrest of Peters, charging him with capital murder.

Thoughts? This is a breaking news case so Peters is obviously still at large as of this posting date (May 25th, 2020). It's unclear if April Hanner is charged with anything, but police are looking for her as she's believed to be traveling with Peters at the very least.
