(Above photo credits: ctpost.com via Connecticut State Police) From wtnh.com: WILLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police are searching for the armed and dangerous suspect who allegedly killed an elderly man and seriously injured another in Willington on Friday morning. Police said that they are still searching for the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Peter Manfredonia. He was last seen wearing dark clothes and a multi-colored helmet, and is operating a red sport-style motorcycle. It’s unclear if Manfredonia and the victims knew each other. A University of Connecticut spokesperson confirmed Saturday that Manfredonia is a senior at UConn. He was not living on campus at the time of the incident or during recent semesters. The University says it is working with State Police on the investigation. According to state police, just after 9 a.m. Friday, troopers responded to Mirtl Road, where they found two elderly men suffering from injuries after an assault with an edged weapon. “We do know a weapon was used,” said Trooper Josue Dorelus, in a news conference. “We believe it to be a wedged weapon, however the exact description I would not be able to provide.” One of the victims was taken by Lifestar to an area hospital. Theodore Demers, 62, of Willington, died from his injuries. The identity and condition of the second victim was not released. Neighbors were shocked at the news. “Nothing like this has ever happened, and you can’t ask for a better family,” Lauren Spencer said, breaking into tears. “It’s so terrible. Just so horrible.” Making it worse is COVID-19. With social distancing rules, they can’t console each other. “With this virus we can’t go over and give them hugs, we can’t even sit with them or hold their hand,” said Spencer. Manfredonia is considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. State police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or contact Eastern District Major Crimes – Troop C directly at (860) 896-3200.www.google.com/amp/s/www.wtnh.com/news/crime-news/ct-state-police-search-for-armed-and-dangerous-man-wanted-in-serious-assault-in-willington/amp/Thoughts? Based on additional articles, Manfredonia was still at large at least as of May 23rd, 2020. Additional articles have police as believing Manfredonia not knowing his alleged victims and this tragic case was a random act of violence. This is a very dangerous alleged fugitive and he needs to be taken off the streets immediately. They say he's struggled with mental health issues. Now I've said on the forum the rare times I have sympathy is when it comes to that but it also doesn't excuse his actions which seem pretty well-planned to me and highlights even more of a need to catch him if he's unstable.

While I searched up images of Manfredonia, I found an image that said he was the sandy hook shooters neighbor (this could be heresy). If this doesn’t end soon..... I think the justification is there to add him to the Ten Most Wanted List.... these crimes are just erratic and crazy.

The problem is the ten most wanted list is full but you could still find other waya to publicize.
As far as being the Sandy Hook shooter's neighbor, I don't know if that is true. He may have lived close to him hence the "inspiration" but probably not next-door neighbors.

Yeah it seems they seem grew up in the same neighborhood walking distance and everything but not like right next door which some people seemed to imply.
And yeah there's a specific reason I'm saying Sandy Hook shooter in this thread- I refuse to give him the satisfaction of referring to him by his name. We have no choice but to refer to Manfredonia since it's an active manhunt but yeah it's hard for me to pull out my "mental health sympathy card" which I actually have in some cases because of my family dynamics when everything with this Manfredonia guy seems so well-planned out.

I think that personally that there's a good chance that this guy should land on the Marshals Infamous Top 15, I mean they have plenty of room for his ugly ass face and plus I don't know as to why I thought this but he is also sharing something in common with domestic terrorist/state trooper killer Eric Frein, he is possibly running or hiding in the Pocono Mountains since in one of the articles they happened to mention/hint at the Poconos.
maybe they should consider making this guy one of those 'rare' special 11th members of the FBI's TOP 10 List since he's so uncorked, unscrewed, and unraveled.

There is room on the Marshals Top 15 list if they want to put him there. I still want to stress you can publicize the case by blasting it on national news and don't always need top lists for publicity, I'm reading articles on Facebook- and I can't blame them- NJ/CT/PA residents are upset all the top headlines are about coronavirus which is important but it's also important for them to know there's a technical serial killer who allegedly idolized the Sandy Hook shooter possibly on the loose in their own backyard. I mean that should be the top news story in those areas until he's caught.

Apparently Manfredonia may have allegedly killed Ted DeMers for the stupidest reason- he apparently was looking for a girl he knew- whose family had considered getting a restraining order against him- that didn't even live in the house-. It's believed he may have killed DeMers because he interfered with his plans. DeMers had kiven Manfredonia a ride back to his bike when Manfredonia allegedly killed him with a machete that was in his backpack. Also- the last known movement of Manfredonia was taking an Uber to a Wal-Mart in East Stroudsburh, Pennsylvania. Security footage shows him walking behind the store and onto the railroad tracks. www.wbal.com/article/461374/130/police-student-fugitive-who-killed-2-took-uber-to-walmart
