From the Pensacola News Journal (pnj.com):
It's been 17 years since Marcus Virgin went out with friends one night and was never seen again, but now Escambia County Sheriff’s Office investigators finally believe they know who killed Virgin and are ready to close the cold case.
The ECSO is seeking information about the whereabouts of 39-year-old David Lasha Dale who is wanted on suspicion of murdering Virgin on May 8, 2003.
Anyone with information regarding Dale’s whereabouts is asked to call Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-433-7867 or the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at 850-436-9620.
According to a social media post by the ECSO, Virgin’s body was never found, and over the years following his disappearance, investigators received information indicating that he had been murdered.
In 2007, DNA evidence related to the cold case was discovered but was not enough evidence to make an arrest at the time.
As part of a renewed focus to reexamine cold cases in 2019, new analysis of the DNA led to new information and a break in the case, according to the ECSO.

Thoughts? I feel it is safe to assume Dale is still-at-large as of this posting date (May 21st, 2020), since the above is a recent article. He does have a warrant in Florida's warrant search site but is for bail-secured bond from last year so I am assuming it is an unrelated case.
I also put 2020 as the wanted year since Dale was just named a suspect this month, even though Marcus Virgin disappeared and was presumed murdered in 2003.
