From The Tennessean (tennessean.com):
Metro police East Precinct detectives on Monday identified a 27-year-old felon as the gunman they said is responsible for the targeted killing of an East Nashville woman this month.
Kevin M. Horner is wanted in the April 10 slaying of 33-year-old April Wilson inside her residence at Riverchase Apartments on Joseph Avenue.
An arrest warrant charging Horner with criminal homicide is outstanding, police said. As of Monday he remained at large.
The investigation, led by police Det. James Rummage, shows Horner had visited an apartment near Wilson’s in the past and had engaged in an argument with people at Wilson’s home.
Horner is alleged to have fired multiple shots outside Wilson’s apartment shortly before 10 p.m. on the day of the killing, fatally wounding her.
He is also wanted on a felony aggravated assault charge after police said he pulled a rifle on a motorist after rear-ending him on the Ellington Parkway exit ramp to Trinity Lane on the afternoon of April 11.
Horner fled the scene on foot, leaving the gun inside the car. A search of the vehicle found spent shell casings, which scientists at the MNPD crime laboratory determined matched shell casings recovered from the scene of Wilson's killing.
Horner was convicted of robbery in August 2018 and received a mostly probated six-year sentence. He was also convicted of misdemeanor domestic assault and vandalism in March 2019.
Anyone seeing Horner or knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
