Awhile back, Derek posted the link to episode listings for AMW: Final Justice. Though no specific names were mentioned, through a collaborative effort those of us on the forum worked to try and identify the cases that were profiled. Well now, I'd like to do that, except this time for AMW episodes.
MSN TV has a guide with several episodes from the early-to-mid-90s (basically through 1996/1997) with descriptions of a case or two that was featured in that episode. Like the Final Justice guide, the only clues we have are summaries of the cases. However, I think we can work to ID most, if not all, of these cases (or at least the ones that are specific enough to one fugitive).
I'm starting off with episodes that aired in 1992 and 1993 and will gradually add more episodes.
Names in bold are fugitives who I'm pretty sure are being described.
August 14, 1992 - Retired policeman is killed in his Washington, D.C., pub; Tennessee doctor allegedly rapes patient (Dr. Mohamed Ali)
August 21, 1992 - Indiana man allegedly murdered childhood friend (Wade Meisberger); Illinois businessman is convicted of killing lover (Raymond Scoville)
August 28, 1992 - Three women band together to bring charges against the alleged rapist of two; TV station is run by inmates
August 29, 1992 - Authorities hunt for killers of police in Oklahoma, Georgia and California.
September 4, 1992 - Kansas City fugitive has affair with friend's wife, kills friend; victims prosecute an accused rapist.
September 11, 1992 - Authorities hunt for killers of a New York journalist (possibly Unknown Manuel DeDios Killers); lawman turns criminal; woman is missing since the '80s; hunt for the world's most wanted man (no idea who this is, but does anybody else find it sadly ironic that this person was profiled exactly nine years before 9/11?)
September 18, 1992 - Indian spirits allegedly help catch a murderer; rock singer's comeback ends in murder.
September 25, 1992 - A nephew is accused of killing his aunt; intruders are suspected of killing a Long Island millionaire (possibly Boonlert Thanarakol and Surajit Sey Sow); missionary disappears in Texas (Patricia "Candy" Walsh).
October 2, 1992 - Obsessed California fugitive kidnaps girl, 15, twice; convicted murderer escapes through drain pipe.
October 9, 1992 - Teen confronts her stepfather about childhood molestation (Patrick McCoy): bogus chef cons Palm Beach widow out of $200,000 (Henry Turkel); major jewel heist.
October 16, 1992 - Talk show inspires teen to confront her molester; homeless man turns on couple who befriended him; Missouri convict steals guard's uniform and flees (Dennis Lilly)
October 23, 1992 - Homeless man allegedly turns on couple who befriended him; serial rapist allegedly killed his new wife with crossbow after her help with parole.
October 30, 1992 - Convicted rapist kidnaps woman; drug enforcer is wanted for three murders; psychic detective.
November 6, 1992 - Gypsies; alleged New York City mobster worked at a newspaper; Floridian accused of molesting his 13-year-old niece.
November 13, 1992 - A Texas professor is accused of kidnapping a 22-year-old woman (Bill Cathey); a psychic seeks a young mother's killer.
November 20, 1992 - Two Des Moines paperboys disappear in the early '80s (Johnny Gosch and Eugene Martin); age-progressing software helps authorities locate children.
December 4, 1992 - Michigan student uses handgun to settle lunchroom altercation; SWAT team fights child abuse.
December 11, 1992 - Torture/murder of a Louisiana hooker (probably James Pauley; Final Justice confirmed he was profiled here); con man relies on the kindness of strangers.
December 18, 1992 - Kansas City pharmacy student allegedly murdered a Yugoslavian doctor (Richard Bocklage); New Hampshire judge skips town with $2 million (John Fairbanks; he later committed suicide in Las Vegas)
I'll add the 1993 episodes at some point soon, but I think this is a good place to start.
