WACO, Texas (KWTX) An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in a shooting in the parking lot of a North Waco H-E-B store that left a teenager injured, police said Friday.
The warrant, charging attempted murder, names Juan Carlos Fabela, 18, who also goes by the name Carlos Fabela, police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.
He should be considered armed and dangerous, Swanton said.
Christian Palacios, 18, of Waco was shot in the head at around 8 p.m. July 19 as he met with three other males in the parking lot of the H-E-B store at 3801 North 19th St.
After the shooting, the three suspects drove away in a light colored vehicle.
Police said the shooting didn’t appear to be random.
The teenager was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center.
Information about his condition hasn’t been released.
None of the store’s employees or customers was involved.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about Fabela’s whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 753-HELP or the Waco Police Department at (254) 750-7500.
