LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A man accused of shooting at a mother and her baby in Lee County is on the run.
26-year-old Uriel Lujan is listed under Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers “10 Most Wanted” fugitives.
“He’s running from us and he knows he has a warrant right now,” Crime Stoppers Coordinator Trish Routte said.
Lujano has a lengthy criminal record including seven prior bookings in the Lee County Jail.
“He spent two years in state prison. As soon as his prison sentence was up, he was deported. Not long after he was deported he came back into the country and is back to his old stomping grounds,” Routte said.
On March 31, Lujan is accused of committing two violent offenses.
The first offense allegedly involved violently beating a man at a Racetrac on Bonita Beach Road. According to Crime Stoppers, a good samaritan broke up the fight.
A woman drove the attacked man to his house, but after dropping him off her and her infant became Lujan’s next victims.
“He aggressively went after this woman, and followed her through several neighborhoods,” Routte said. “She had a baby in the car. She’s trying to protect her child, then Lujan violently reaches out of the window, points a gun at her, and fired four shots.”
The woman and her child were spared by the bullets, but Lujan drove off.
“He’s in our area. He’s hiding out somewhere,” Routte said.

Thoughts? As of this posting date (4/23/2020), Lujan is still listed as one of Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers Top 10 Most Wanted fugitives as well as one of the Lee County Sheriff's Office's most wanted. For some reason, he is not in Florida's public access search site, but I feel the aforementioned sources are official enough to confirm that this alleged maniac is unfortunately currently still-at-large.
