As of this posting date (April 22nd, 2020), Tang is still listed as a wanted fugitive on the FBI website and was seemingly added today to the violent crimes and murders section of the FBI website as well. Articles state the victim was Piseth Chhay, although a motive was not given, Tang was supposedly a "close friend" of Chhay. Chhay's remains were discovered at the warehouse where Tang worked. Chhay had worked as an rideshare driver. His mother had last seen him on Mother's Day when he had driven off in his car, supposedly to return a phone left in his car by a customer. His own phone later went dead and the vehicle GPS was turned off: cne.wtf/2019/07/29/san-francisco-murder-trail-goes-cold-in-cambodia/ UPDATE: As of March 29th, 2021, anyone with information on this fugitive's whereabouts can also call "America's Most Wanted" at 1-833-3-AMW-TIPS and/or submit a tip online at amwtips.com

Setting up a specific phone line for tipsters in Cambodia was a good idea. The FBI seems convinced that Bob is hiding out over there. Also if we can get more FBI featured fugitive additions like Bob Tang, then I would highly appreciate that from the bureau.

For dismembering the body I will include Bob Tang in my personal Top Ten Candidates and he now joins Luis Mendez...... I’m glad they added a murder fugitive and this one is very well needed, it’s a very awful crime that deserves to have publicity.

Bob Tang is apparently getting a surprise profile on tonight's (3/29/2021) episode of AMW- seemingly replacing the original plan to profile John and Julianne Dimitrion so I'm moving this thread to fugitives on tv.

According to the AMW airing, the motive appears to have been an affair going on between the victim and Bob Tang’s wife.
Sadly Bob Tang could’ve handled it differently than he did rather than being a wanted man and facing a life behind bars.

Now we know in context what this was about, but this was still a brutal murder where he chopped his friend into body bags. And he apparently never even confronted anyone in a non-violent manner (I mean a verbal tongue lashing like wtf dude I thought you were my friend could have sufficed), but allegedly his first instinct was just to kill Piseth.
Tang could have used the affair in court as leverage in divorce proceedings but instead decided to take the law into his own hands. The whole thing should have been handled internally but not physically (as well as in court with laywes) between the two couples.

Once again I’m glad they changed their mind to air Bob Tang, the Dimitrions are bad, but Bob Tang needs some of that spotlight for once. With the motive known, it’s clear Bob Tang is cold and calculating, but he did a poor job in covering his tracks. I’m trying to read into the extradition treaty with Cambodia to piece together the possibilities of having Bob Tang brought back to face the music on this crime. On one side I tend to think, surprisingly airing him on AMW is either done for 1/2 reasons; obviously this is one of the most vicious cases in recent times and it hasn’t gotten attention from a national crime show, hence why they chose it, the second is that they are perhaps considering him strongly for the Top Ten List (he may even be the chosen candidate yet are waiting to make an announcement), and decided to put him on the spotlight 1 more time before his possible addition? Bob Tang could theoretically be extradited as it’s not a political crime and it happened outside of Cambodian soil, the fact that he’s a dual citizen could play a role here one way or another. I will say getting Tang back will be difficult but not impossible IMO. sherloc.unodc.org/cld/en/legislation/khm/code_of_criminal_procedure_of_the_kingdom_of_cambodia/book_nine_-_chapter_2/article_566-594/chapter_2.html?

Its a catch-22 in that I feel the Dimitrions are more catchable than Tang at least as far as public tips go despite them not being. caught just yet. The one thing that makes Tang more catchable though is if they add him to the top ten list. Then all that publicity would put pressure on Cambodia to send him back. (This is in my opinion a case that would be added to put pressure on a country as opposed to a public tips case).

Couldn’t have said it better myself, they kinda want to do what they did with Brenda Delgado in 2016, this airing should get the Cambodian community across the U.S. particularly in California to jog their memory if they’ve visited Cambodia since 2017, if they remember seeing someone who looks like him in their travels.

I think this guy should be a contender for the top 10 he committed a truly brutal crime, has a potential for future violence and he's believed to be hiding internationally that seems to be there trend right now

I think this guy should be a contender for the top 10 he committed a truly brutal crime, has a potential for future violence and he's believed to be hiding internationally that seems to be there trend right now The likely chance of Tang getting caught in a country with no extradition treaty is slim to none as it stands, if he’s added to the list it may put pressure on Cambodia to extradite. One thing that does strike me as odd as to why AMW 2.0 decided to air him suddenly and why he hasn’t been reaired again on In Pursuit just like Tamera Williams (and Maurice Nesbitt) had airings on both shows?
