Six-year old Rosa Tapia was brutally murdered nearly 20 years ago. I am pretty certain the case never got an AMW profile.
On the night of Aug 13, 1995, Rosa and her four-year old sister were sleeping when their parents returned home from dancing at 2AM. Their mother checked on them and closed the bedroom window, but didn't lock it to not wake them, also leaving the bedroom door open. The mother returned at 5:45 and found the door open and Rosa and the window screen were missing. Police were called but a man walking his dog would find Rosa's body in a surplus canal several blocks from her home. She had been sexually assaulted and drowned to death.
The night before Rosa was abducted, a witness had seen an unidentified man carry Rosa from a playground to her apartment. The man was white, 5'9 with a thin build and dark brown hair. This man has never been identified.

Thoughts? I think what happened here is that Rosa was at the playground alone while her parents went dancing and she ended up meeting this man. Sadly that man likely is her killer and knew where she lived, so he had an easy time abducting her.
