Based on what I can tell, amw.com went live in late-1996 or early-1997. Until it was apparently permanently deleted from the internet, amw.com was the main resources for anything America's Most Wanted-related.
Beginning in 2001, the website also began leading to the arrest of different fugitives, a trend that continued through the Lifetime era. Some of these fugitives were profiled on the show, but others had never appeared on the show at all and were captured solely because they were on amw.com.
With that in mind, I decided to go through the list of direct captures and name all the fugitives who were web-exclusive captures. Note that this does not include fugitives who were profiled on the show itself but recognized from amw.com (like Larry Burns, Douglas Holler, Charles Brunson, Alan Horowitz and others). These fugitives were ONLY profiled on amw.com
1. Pasquale Nigro (654)
2. Wayne Davis (692)
3. Nelson Strickland (705)
4. Mary Palmer (706)
5. Marla Sparks (708)
6. Nicholas Martinez (745)
7. Kayla LaSala (802); I realize she was also aired on AMW Radio, but her cousin turned her in after he saw her profile on the website.
8. Scott Dellagatta, the Unknown VA Credit Card Thief (855)
9. Shannon Griffin (858)
10. David Kiermaier (865)
11. Phyllis Harless (882)
12. Curtis Miller (903)
13. Isaac Asusta (905); This is also the only MyStory case to have ever been solved by AMW.
14. Gary St. John (915)
15. Sauntsye Love, the Unknown Selvin Cano Killer (919); Yes, I know this case was profiled on AMW in March 2006, but Love's face appeared on amw.com exclusively and he surrendered as a result of that. The show never revealed he was being sought in connection with Selvin Cano's murder.
16. William Pumphrey (925)
17. Colvin Washington (927)
18. Christopher Jackson, the Unknown MD/VA Food Store Robber (941)
19. Deontae Davis (948)
20. Charles Lucas, the Unknown Las Vegas Bank Robber (949); While AMW featured the Unknown Gold Coast Casino Robber (later determined to be Lucas) in February 2006, it was not that case that led to Lucas' identification.
21. David Jackson (960)
22. Alex Daniel (964)
23. Moises Coutinho (970)
24. Israel Balderas (979)
25. Francis Edwards (982); The website claims she was profiled in March 2008, but she was not.
26. Fu Wang (985)
27. Omar Ramirez (998)
28. Jonathan Whalley (1006)
29. Frank Siganoff (1008)
30. Gabriel Rice, the Unknown Anniston Bank Robber (1023)
31. Robert Falkner (1036); Although his January 2008 profile led to his first capture, he was never profiled after he jumped bail halfway through the year and only appeared on amw.com.
32. Felix Figueroa (1043); A note about all the Mongols: the only ones who ever appeared on the show itself were William Louie, Thomas Savala, Abe Wedig, Ramon Contreras, Peter Soto, Ed Moreno and Renato Gomez. The others were all web-exclusives.
33. David Rivera (1044)
34. Ismael Rivera (1046)
35. Orson Mozes (1054)
36. Brandon Cheville (1062)
37. Juan Jauregui (1068)
38. Dion Hayes (1075); Like the Mongols, only a few GangTECC fugitives ever appeared on the actual show. Hayes was not one of them.
39. Micky Mayon (1078)
40. Raymond Cooper (1081)
41. Shannon McLaughlin (1084)
42. Ricky Godbolt (1086)
43. Chad Schaffner, the Unknown Palmetto Bandit (1089)
44. Joseph Gossett (1090)
45. Gary LaTray (1105)
46. Leslie Irias (1107)
47. Patrick Gage (1121)
48. Dean Birdsall (1126)
49. Billy Gibson (1128)
50. Charles Hoffman (1133)
51. Oscar Ancrum (1135)
52. Kandice Leonard (1138)
53. Bob Michael Davis (1140)
54. Rene "Napoleon" Lopez (1149)
55. Carlos Centeno (1157)
56. Romaro Taylor (1158)
57. Michael Fritz (1166)
Especially in AMW's later years, it seemed like web-exclusive fugitives made up the brunt of AMW's captures. And as I said earlier, I'm not even including the fugitives who were profiled on AMW and caught because somebody recognized them from the site. This is why I wished AMW had added all their cold cases to the site; both Larry Burns and Anatoliy Valenko, who hadn't been profiled in years, were caught because they were recognized on amw.com.
