Police are looking for a man who has murdered at least 3 people in less than ten years. In 1998, in Missouri, Tony Scherer entered his home to find that this wife Sherri and his daughter Megan were dead. They had been shot in the head and placed in the living room. Megan had also been sexually assaulted. Only two hours later, in Tennessee, a woman was approached by a man at her home, claiming he needed directions to look for his friend "Jeremy Taylor." He then pulled out a gun and a struggle ensued. The woman fled inside her house and was shot in the shoulder. She was able to help work out a composite drawing of what the man looked like, and ballistics tied the crime to the MO double murder. For years, the cases went unsolved. Then, investigators submitted the DNA evidence in the database, and were able to connect it to another homicide. In 1990, in South Carolina, Genevieve Zitricki was found beaten and strangled to death in her bathtub. This gave the killer his third body. A few weeks after the Zitricki murder, a picture of a woman was found near a pair of rubber gloves. Authorities found the woman, and eventually cleared her husband as a suspect. But the killer is still out there. What do you guys think about this case? It was mentioned that the homes were near highways, indicating that the killer may not be familiar with the areas and could've easily slipped back into traffic. This guy could literally be anywhere, and if he isn't already in jail or dead, he's probably continuing to kill. Thoughts? Admin Note #1: Our advice for anyone with information on this case would be to contact the FBI since they mention it on their website. This is the link to their ViCAP page that mentions the Scherer/Zitricki homicides: leb.fbi.gov/2012/october/vicap-alertAdmin Note #2: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-formAttachments:

I always felt they were pushing it charging him with 5 or 6 murders (don't think anyone was charged with Martinez's death). He was only involved in the first round of killings, and was just the driver. While I feel he should be brought to justice, multiple counts of murder seems a bit much.

Police say the ringleader of this murderous crew, Michael Martinez, was looking for "revenge" he stated. The motive has never been clear, but Martinez claimed people had snitched on him, and he wanted payback. He gathered Martirosyan, Alex Pogosyan, and another unknown accomplice. While Martirosyan drove, Martinez and Pogosyan entered the house of Ed Moralas, who was asleep in his basement with his friend Zach Obert. Martinez and Pogosyan opened fire on them, killing both. After the double murder, Martirosyan split up with the others, who continued their rampage. They entered the house of Penny Medina and shot her to death. They then entered the basement where Penny's son Greg was, along with his girlfriend. Both were shot to death. Later that day, police received a tip where they could pick up the murder weapons. When they got there, they found Martinez shot to death. Martirosyan and Pogosyan were both arrested, the other accomplice never identified. Martirosyan was later released due to lack of evidence at the time, but Pogosyan was convicted and sentenced to life. Police eventually gathered evidence to charge Martirosyan, but he had already fled. My guess is he fled to some Armenian community, I know California has a large one. He also may have fled overseas. I doubt the police are actively searching for him though, since the main murderers are either dead or in prison. Also, while I can't do it on my phone, I'm going to try posting pictures with these threads, especially if they have age progression photos (don't think Martirosyan has one though). I think it gives people unfamiliar with AMW a visual element as to who we're talking about. It does seem that top tenners turn themselves in a lot less frequently when you compare them to those listed back in the 50s and 60s.

Hopefully his family also pays the price for hiding him all these years

Luckily he'll be in probably for the rest of his life. He's not that old, but he looks it.

That's also possible; it just amazes me though how these women can allow their children to be out through all that

I think they're still together. Robin seems like someone who'd turn herself in to get the better deal if they separated. But family has to be helping them.

Wow.... He wasn't that far after all. Although he does look drastically different than his mugshot. Anyway, great capture.

If he lost a lot of weight, than I can see him blending in a little easier, despite being very tall. Otherwise he's probably overseas somewhere.

Unfortunately, I doubt they're still protecting him and Irving is now probably adapted to his new life by now. He'd be in his 50s today, so his family may not even be alive to question.

Gary Irving is a serial rapist wanted for attacks on several young women back in 1978. The first victim, an 18 year-old woman, was attacked after she passed Irving's car while walking home. Irving, then an 18 year-old college student, jumped out and abducted her at knifepoint. He drove her to a secluded place and sexually assaulted her. A little over a week later, he struck again when he grabbed a 16 year-old girl off her bike and raped her in his car. Not long after that attack, he and another man abducted another 16 year-old girl, drove her to a remote location, and raped her. A month later, Irving tried to abduct two teenage girls, but they were able to escape and identify part of Irving's license plate. Irving was arrested, tried, and convicted of multiple counts of rape, kidnapping, and assault. But the judge decided Irving wasn't a flight risk and let him out on bail while he got his affairs in order. Irving then fled. Irving's family had to have been protecting him for the first couple of years or so, since I doubt he alone had the resources to begin a new life on the run. They probably sent him overseas. My guess would be somewhere in Europe, since I really can't picture Irving in Mexico. Thoughts? Edit: Gary Irving has been captured after 33 years on the run! www.myfoxboston.com/story/21813191/state-police-dangerous-fugitive-caught-after-33-years-on-the-run

Call me a pessimist, but I always believed Amy fell off the ledge. I've been in cruise ships before, and I don't care how strong a swimmer you are; if you fall off, you're done. The ship won't be able to stop for a while, and by then; who knows what can happen, especially if someone is panicking?

I never really took it seriously, since Ellis has always been one of those fugitives I'm sure is still alive.

A couple of years ago, I had this dream and during one part if it, I was on the AMW achieves site. Apparently, in my dream the site could go back to like the early 90s. Anyway I was looking up old capture reports and one stated that Ellis' skeletal remains were found in some woods in Nebraska in 1996. I've always wondered if that may have been the case, but I never really took it seriously. How weird it would be though, if it was true?
