One last piece on the Floyd saga. Phillip Brandenburg, the brother of Suzanne Sevakis has been found alive as of 2020. He had been kidnapped by Franklin Floyd along with Sevakis and two other sisters (the later two also found alive) but he abandoned Suzanne siblings to "raise" her. So really the mystery surrounding Suzanne Sevakis's death and Michael Hughes' remains are the only loose ends left of Floyd's demented saga.

Today is unfortunately the 41st anniversary of Walker County Jane Doe's case and recently there may have been recent developments to said case. About a month ago, the NameUs listing for her has been removed and her DoeNetwork profile has her as "identified". Even Carl Koppelman, who I mentioned here and is known for helping identify Tammy Jo Alexander, is saying she has been identified. But there has been no official public announcement or news report regarding this development and anything else seems to be under wraps. So as of right now we'll have to wait and see. Here is a couple of videos be YouTube personality Stephanie Harlowe and the Solvable Mysteries Podcast about the case.

I agree. Other than coincidental comparisons, there's no real evidence tying Teaford and Zodiac together. I just wanted to notate it for interests sake. A better fact about him is that he's part of the "Vanished" or Elusive Eleven. A group of fugitives that were dropped from the FBI's top 10 without ever being captured or located. Also, I'm surprised he was never featured on a national TV true crime program. I'm guessing that by the time the FBI dropped him from the top most wanted and definitely by the time shows like AMW and UM came around, there wasn't much info on him to try to catch him and they probably assumed him dead.

Just a note: There is some speculation among some web sleuths that Teaford is the Zodiac killer.

Marlena Childress vanished while playing in front of her Union City, Tennessee home on April 16, 1987. Her case was aired on UM in 1990. From the Charley Project: Missing Since:04/16/1987 Missing From:Union City, Tennessee Classification:Non-Family Abduction Sex:Female Race:White Date of Birth:02/17/1983 (38) Age:4 years old Height and Weight:4'0, 38 pounds Clothing/Jewelry Description:A purple and white checked shirt with lace trim, light purple pants and pink jelly-style shoes. Distinguishing Characteristics:Caucasian female. Light brown hair, blue/hazel eyes. Marlena's ears are pierced. She had silver or stainless steel caps on her top and bottom front teeth at the time of her 1987 disappearance. Details of DisappearanceMarlena was last seen playing in the front yard of her family's residence in Union City, Tennessee at approximately 3:00 p.m. on April 16, 1987. Her mother, Pamela Lynn Bailey, stated she heard car brakes and when she went to check on Marlena, the child was gone. Bailey said she didn't get a good look at the driver, but Marlena's seven-year-old stepbrother and the owner of a store two blocks away both told police they'd seen Marlena talking to him shortly before she vanished. Their descriptions of the car matched what Bailey said she'd seen, but no one recognized the driver. The vehicle is described as an older model two-door red car. It reportedly had McCracken County, Kentucky license plates. Marlena has never been heard from again. Two months after Marlena's disappearance, her mother told investigators that she had hit her while trying to discipline her and had unintentionally killed her. She said she disposed of the body in the north fork of the Obion River. Bailey said a local man had helped her dispose of the body, and he was questioned by police, but he denied any involvement, saying he knew Bailey but he hadn't even seen her in two years. He also had an alibi for the day Marlena disappeared. The man was never charged in connection with her disappearance. Marlena's body was never located and Bailey recanted her confession shortly afterwards, stating she had made up the story because she was emotionally distressed, taking medication for depression, and being pressured by the police. Bailey made several conflicting statements about her daughter's disappearance: at one point she said she had sold Marlena to pay off a drug debt, and another time she said Marlena had been abducted by a family friend who had sexually abused Bailey when she was a child. Bailey moved to Kentucky after Marlena disappeared. She had initially been charged with second-degree murder in connection with her daughter's alleged death The charge was later reduced to voluntary manslaughter, then dropped altogether for lack of evidence. Prior to Marlena's disappearance, no one had filed any complaints of child abuse or neglect in the family. There were reports that Marlena had been seen in Anniston, Alabama in the months following her disappearance. She was supposedly staying with a family there in the late summer of 1987. Their surname was also Childress, but they aren't related to Marlena. The family had a history of harboring other people's children. They traveled to Florida, where the father was arrested on sex charges relating to his wife and two of his ten children. Neighbors from Anniston identified photos of Marlena as the child they had seen at the residence, but these sightings were never confirmed. Bailey was arrested in Kentucky in late April 2002 after she stabbed her twelve-year-old son in a rural cemetery in Graves County. The child survived the attack, stayed overnight in the hospital, and was released to his father. Bailey pleaded no contest to attempted murder, served time in prison and has since been released. Marlena's disappearance continues to be classified as a non-family abduction. Her case was re-opened by the police after Bailey's 2002 arrest, but it remains unsolved. Thoughts? This has become somewhat of a controversial segment no less because of the actions of Pamela Bailey. Plus the family request this case no longer aired in UM so you'd know why this never made it in the filmrise revision. Even if Pamela was innocent, she sure haven't made her case and became a red herring for the possible actual culprit. Pamela Gay Jones disappeared in the dessert of Mesa/Tempe, Arizona after an argument with her husband on November 3, 1993. Her case was a web exclusive for Unsolved Mysteries in 2015 as well as a featured case on NBC's cold case spotlight. From the Charley Project: Missing Since:11/03/1993 Missing From:Mesa, Arizona Classification:Endangered Missing Sex:Female Race:White Date of Birth:09/02/1954 (66) Age:39 years old Height and Weight:5'2, 140 pounds Clothing/Jewelry Description:A black ski jacket, a blue shirt, black Levi's jeans, white leather shoes and a yellow gold wedding band. Distinguishing Characteristics:Caucasian female. Brown hair, brown eyes. Jones has a chipped right shinbone and she may have pockmarks from rock salt on her chest. She may wear eyeglasses. She may use the last names Gentry and/or Stafford. Details of DisappearanceJones was last seen in Mesa, Arizona at 2:00 a.m. on November 3, 1993. She went to Tempe, Arizona to pick her husband up at work. Jones's husband stated they got into an argument after her arrival and continued to argue as she drove their white Yugo. Eventually she got out of the car at Usery Pass and McKellips Road in Mesa and walked away into the desert. Her husband drove home alone. Jones has never been heard from again. At the time of her disappearance, she was in college training to be a surgical technician, and she was only a month away from graduation. Although it's possible she left voluntarily, investigators believe Jones probably met with foul play and her husband is the primary suspect in her disappearance. However, he was never charged in her case and he died in 2012. Thoughts? Based on what we know, foul play is likely in her case. A tangent of how AMW and UM describe Boonlert and Surjit as well as the Lever case and Golder. As we know according to AMW, Golder already had a coke habit and owed a drug debt to Boonlert and Surjit, his suppliers. To alleviate the debt, Golder convinced Boonlert and Surjit to join him on a jewelry bust which led to the Lever incident. No mention of the mafia and they depict Golder as more of an amateur. Also Golder knew one of them had a gun and was told Lever was "chucked" just after they left the mansion. But according to UM, Golder was already this well versed bandit when he was brought under the fold of the Genovese crime family and in an effort to get Golder to bring in more jewelry, they "instructed" Golder and "two other mafia jewel thieves" to hit up the Lever home thus the incident. With supposedly the drug and money habit starting from there. Depicting Golder as clueless as to whether Lever was killed or not till the next day. I'm intrigued by such differences and that's the case the further I look this case up. One sources I once posted here said Golder "trained" two Thai nationals. Another said he gave $2k each after selling the jewelry for $20k despite AMW alluding that he owed Boonlert and Surjit $16k and the ring worth $50k min. Speaking of AMW, a post about Golder from the 2000s erroneously said Golder himself shot and killed Lever. Even "Dinnertime Bandits" is a mystery since AMW says it was the name of a gang Golder was part of while UM and some other sources say Golder was mostly a one guy operation and "Dinnertime Bandit" was a nickname. There is a long dead blog about the exploits of Golder which features some info about Boonlert and Surjit but mainly Boonlert. just type "Boonlert" and "Thai" on the term search in the link provided. web.archive.org/web/20070806110536/http://www.dinnertimebandit.info/aseannow.com/topic/53895-most-wanted-for-murder-2-thais/web.archive.org/web/20041029135632/http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=24269

This month is unfortunately the 20th anniversary of their disappearance. Here is an episode from Case Files Chicago about them. Again, as a Chicagoan, this case hits home as this was the first case I vividly remember in real time and it was widely discussed no less by my family and close ones. To see this case still unsolved saddens me but I hope one day the truth of their fates will be revealed and they have justice for what happened to them.

I can't help bet think that her husband is a bit suspicious and maybe know more than he's letting on. Other than that, it's either a scorned lover, a enemy she never revealed or a serial killer in he area.
