This past January marks unfortunately the 40th anniversary of the disappearance and eventual murder of Sharin Morningstar-Kennan and manhunt for Dennis Melvin Howe. On a side note of extreme coincidence, Kennan's disappearance at the hands of Howe and the murders of Rob and Marcia Edwards by allegedly Joe Sinnott Edwards happened a few days apart from each other. Here are a couple of videos, one notably by the YouTuber Krime with Kait about the case.

An update on the infamous Polaroid photo associated with Tara's case. Doe Network has the case of the Gulf County Does officially closed by request of law enforcement handling the case. Though no information has been revealed as to why the mystery behind the photo is closed. My suspicions that they finally concluded it was a hoax. www.doenetwork.org/cases/66uffl.htmlwww.doenetwork.org/cases/96umfl.html

This past Jan 20 unfortunately marks the 40th anniversary of the murders of Marcia and Robert Edwards as well as the manhunt of Joe Sinnott Edwards. I'm still have suspicion that Marcia may have mistaken Joe for someone else and Joe may not be our guy since the motive just doesn't completely add up. However, I came across a 1998 segment of Joe in which AMW noted he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, thus adding a new dimension to the case and Joe's fate. It also notes, since this was from an episode celebrating AMW's 10th anniversary, that Joe's case was first featured on AMW in Oct 1989. This could've been a mistake on AMw's part since sources like IMDB put his first appearance as Oct 1988. Here's a facebook post from a cold case group briefing the case. www.facebook.com/Projectcoldcase/posts/joe-sinnott-edwards-is-charged-with-the-murders-of-his-adoptive-parents-in-livin/1149309518602182/

It's fascinating to me to see how much Esnel Jean has in common with Jean-Marie Jean-Francois. In fact, AMW actually recycled the footage of the voodoo ceremony they shot for Esnel Jean's story for Jean-Francois' story. I know it's extremely unlikely, but how weird would it be if both of them were in Haiti and somehow knew each other? AMW has often recycled some of their reenactments in different segments. They used it a lot in their 15 Seconds of Shame segments. I recall watching an segment All Points Bulletin from 2006 in which they used a visual from a reenactment of a case they aired back in 1993. As with Esnel Jean, I vaguely remember him. If that's the case where the AMW reenactment included a guy eating something followed by an x-ray shot of what he ate going down his body. That may be him. But a lot of notable AMW cases still unsolved lacks available info online these days and I don't know why.

Nothing much to comment other than I find it peculiar that a few of the relatives of the suspect and victims made their way to the forums. Whatever the case, I must stress that regardless of how close you are to or are sympathetic to Vicky, if she is responsible for the murders, she deserve the most appropriate punishment possible and if she is innocent she would be best to finally turn herself in and prove her case with proper counsel. Though in all honesty, she might have died by now given the circumstances.

This upcoming December will unfortunately be the 25th anniversary of Rick DeVecchi's murder and as of Jan 2023 the killer has yet to be identified. Here is a news brief from 1999 by the Oakland FOX affiliate KTVU, featuring the original sketch of the killer. It appears this was posted by Randy DeVecchi, Rick's brother who also appeared in his segment on AMW.

This past September 5 is unfortunately the 40th anniversary of the disappearance of Johnny Gosch. I am firmly of the belief that Johnny was likely abducted and not long after killed by a serial predator in the area at the time. This case would've likely been solved were it not for incompetent or under supported law enforcement. Any claims and speculations made by others especially John Bonacci, John DeCamp and I'm sad to say Noreen Gosch are in my belief, are likely false and are red herrings that prevented proper investigation that could've solved what was Johnny's fate and why he actually would never come home. Here is a documentary by the local Des Moines, Iowa TV station, KCCI about the case.

That has been one of my theories all along. Though my research as of late had me thinking someone in the family abused her or she was seeing someone in secret and had her pregnant. The later less likely due to her upbringing under her father/cult.

Running away or running off with someone could be a possibility. But I've come across nothing in my research indicting she had a bad family upbringing or was secretly dating someone or anything that would be a reason for her to run off. She already graduated high school with a job and a boyfriend and would've been 18 a month before her disappearance. She took nothing of value to her and her bank account was not used since she went missing. The fake ID could just as well be for her to get in bars/clubs or buy liquor or the typical sly things people underage do. Her meeting someone then met with foul play is a stronger possibility to me.

Shanythia Greene disappeared under suspicious circumstances in Pompano Beach, Florida on August of 1993. Her case was at least shown on AMW on Sept of that year. From the Charley Project: Missing Since:08/26/1993 Missing From:Pompano Beach, Florida Classification:Endangered Missing Sex:Female Race:Black Date of Birth:09/30/1975 (46) Age:17 years old Height and Weight:6'1 - 6'2, 190 - 200 pounds Clothing/Jewelry Description:White shorts and brown sandals. Associated Vehicle(s):White 1992 Pontiac LeMans (accounted for); 18-wheeler truck with a blue cab and New Jersey license plates Distinguishing Characteristics:African-American female. Black hair, brown eyes. Shanythia's upper right front tooth is gold and engraved with the letter "G" or "N". She has a small white skin discoloration on her lower right leg and a scar on her abdomen, and her ears are pierced. Shanythia's nickname is Nikki. She may use the alias Toquerta C. Montgomery. Details of Disappearance Shanythia left her family's residence in the 1600 block of North Cypress Road in Pompano Beach, Florida at 5:00 a.m. August 26, 1993. She planned to take her boyfriend to work. Her mother got up at 8:00 a.m. She assumed Shanythia was in her bedroom, as the bedroom door was closed and her car was parked in the driveway. Investigators believe Shanythia may have left her home again at 8:30 a.m. Shanythia's mother came home from work at 10:00 p.m. and her daughter wasn't home. She thought Shanythia was with her boyfriend and went to bed without worrying about it. She woke up at 3:00 a.m., and realized her daughter still wasn't home and had missed her 1:30 a.m. curfew. Shanythia's family waited the rest of the day for her to come home, then reported her missing early in the morning two days after her disappearance. None of her clothes were missing, she did not pick up her paycheck from work, and there has been no activity on her bank account since her disappearance. Shanythia's white 1992 Pontiac LeMans was discovered locked and abandoned in the parking lot of the Days Inn motel in the 1400 block of northwest 31st Avenue in Pompano Beach on August 29. Her purse was under the front seat. Inside was a false identification card for Shanythia in the name "Toquerta C. Montgomery." There was no sign of Shanythia at the scene, but she may have been seen talking to an African-American male at that location. The man was driving an eighteen-wheeler truck with a blue cab and New Jersey license plates. He has never been identified. Shanythia has never been heard from again. In 1995, an individual told police Shanythia's body was buried in the yard of a residence in the 2800 block of northwest Fourth Street in Pompano Beach. Authorities searched the area but failed to find any evidence. Shanythia's case remains unsolved. She is a graduate of Ely High School and worked part-time as a cashier at K-Mart in 1993. Her mother suspects Shanythia may have come to harm at the hands of two people known to her, but no one has been charged in her disappearance or identified as a suspect. Some agencies state she disappeared on August 27 or August 29, 1993. Thoughts? Various sources including including AMW indicate she was abducted and I'm inclined to agree. I know of this case from Unsolved Mysteries but was ever shown or mention on AMW in the 90s or early 2000s? To my knowledge, this case was never featured on AMW. Plus she doesn't seem to appear on the AMW archives.
