Oscar Pistorius' prosecutors said today they "have nothing to do" with a leaked video showing him reenacting the shooting of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, indicating they do not intend to extend the trial to introduce the video as evidence.
Pistorius' attorney told the court today that they are about to bring their defense to a conclusion, but asked the judge for one more day.
"It is prima facie that we plan to close our case, but I'd like to request that we stand down until tomorrow so that I can consult and receive instructions from those around me," defense lawyer Barry Roux told the High Court in Pretoria.

Pistorius, 27, is accused of murdering his lover in the early hours of Valentine's Day 2013. He claims he mistook her for an intruder when he fired four shots through a locked bathroom door.
Pistorius' lawyers asked to consult with a state appointed psychiatrist, one of a panel of three which assessed the athlete's mental state during a court ordered 30 day psychiatric evaluation, but Judge Thokozile Masipa turned down the request, prompting Roux to asks for the adjournment.

Prosecutor Gerrie Nell did not mention the re-enactment video in which Pistorius can be seen running and walking backwards on his stumps. The video, created by an American company for the Pistorius legal team, aired in Australia Sunday. In the video, which has not been shown in court, Pistorius has his right hand outstretched as if holding a gun. He also carries a women out of the cramped bathroom, reenacting how he pulled Steeenkamp out of the room after shooting her.
During the trial, Pistorius' legal team has contended that being on his stumps made the paralympian sprinter known as the Blade Runner feel vulnerable to a possible intruder because he allegedly has limited mobility and balance without his prosthetics.

"We have no comment... and have nothing to do with the video," NPA spokesman Nathi Mncube said.

Aaron Hernandez Moving to Boston Jail Wednesday 07/09/2014
Former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez, who has pleaded not guilty to three murder charges, will be transferred Wednesday to a Boston jail.
Bernie Sullivan, spokesman for Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson, said Tuesday that Hernandez will move from the Bristol County House of Correction in North Dartmouth, where he was been for more than a year. Sullivan said the move will follow a Fall River court appearance in the 2013 slaying of former semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd.
Sullivan says Hernandez will either move to the Suffolk County Jail or the South Bay House of Correction. Both are in Boston.
A judge ruled Monday that Hernandez can move closer to his Boston-based lawyers. He is accused of killing two men in Boston in 2012.

I did some research myself and was unable to retrieve an article stating he has be apprehended, sucks because I was really hoping to find one. I really hope he comes to justice what he did was horrible and ruined a life he has to be stopped. This hits close to home for me considering I have 3 teenage boys myself. Let’s all hope we get a really good tip that lead us to him. I work in the community for the last 13 years I see over 100 different faces a day, his face is just one more I’ll keep stored in my memory till he gets caught. AMW/THE HUNT!!!!!!!!!!

Aaron Hernandez featured as Mr. July in University of Florida calendar.
The school said Tuesday that the calendar was produced by a third party and Hernandez's inclusion was approved before the former Patriots star was charged with killing three men.The calendar was first reported on Deadspin.com, and the official Florida Gators football Twitter feed responded, also saying the calendar was approved before Hernandez’s legal troubles were widely known. The school advised the calendar’s maker that Florida no longer approves of the product, but that those already printed will not be recalled.

The trial of Oscar Pistorius, the disabled South African track star, resumed on Monday 06/30/2014 after psychiatric assessments that could have derailed the proceedings concluded that he was not mentally ill when he killed his girlfriend last year. The prosecution says he murdered his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, 29, in a jealous rage after an argument, but Mr. Pistorius says he shot her by mistake, believing that an intruder had entered his home and was hiding in a toilet cubicle when he fired four shots through the door. Mr. Pistorius faces a mandatory minimum prison term of 25 years if convicted of premeditated murder, but he could face a shorter sentence on a lesser charge of culpable homicide. As the trial resumed on Monday, Gerald Versfeld, the surgeon who amputated Mr. Pistorius’s lower legs, quoted the runner as saying that he fell frequently and had difficulties balancing when he was walking on his stumps without the prosthetics he now uses. Underlining the runner’s vulnerability, he quoted Mr. Pistorius as saying that his dog had “knocked me over many times.” According to reporters in the courtroom, Judge Masipa and her assessors closely examined Mr. Pistorius’s stumps as Mr. Versfeld explained how the skin moved on them. The scrutiny, which was not televised, left Mr. Pistorius distressed after the details of his disability were exposed, the reporters said in posts on Twitter.

It's been a long frustrating ten years when it comes to Jason D. Brown, unfortunately there has been no new leads that we know of. At this point we all have is our theory's, and speaking of theory's what would be yours? as you do know the story of Mr. Brown. If you were in his shoe's, what would of you have done next?? We know the FBI feels he may be shacked up with some female that may not even know his real identity living a normal life. Or, the conspiracy theory that he may be possibly with his father. It is said if we can look into Browns past it may lead us to him now?? true or false?? My question is did Brown's father have a current legal case pending we he disappeared? Also maybe if we did focus more on his father we might just find his son. From what we know has the FBI even tried to locate Browns father?? I’m just saying who knows the conspiracy theory may be true the real question is have we even tried to prove it wrong. It's very hard to be on the run for this long without contacting family or friends. In Brown's case maybe just maybe he turned to his father..My next theory is Brown is in a non-extradition country and has not even thought twice to return to the US. It sucks there has been no new leads and we really don’t have much more to say about brown this why i was curious on what other members theory's might be about Jason D. Brown. Theory’s can’t hurt who knows you might be right.....

Inside the car, O.J. Simpson was sitting in the backseat, allegedly with a gun to his head. Al “A.C.” Cowlings, Simpson’s friend and former teammate in high school, college and the N.F.L., was at the wheel. I sure do remember this, I too was upset because it did interrupt the NBA finals. I was 16 years old, during this low speed chase. 95 million viewers watch to see if OJ would really commit suicide. All that drama and we all know the verdict...On Oct. 3, 1995, the "Trial of the Century" ended with Simpson's acquittal, with 150 million people tuning in for the verdict, making it one of the most watched events in television history. I thought the chase would of hurt him in court, running from the truth. Some say he had the best defense team of all time....
OJ NOW:
In September 2007, Simpson and several others went into a Las Vegas hotel room to get sports memorabilia Simpson said belonged to him. The men confronted the dealers and brandished weapons but did not fire them. Simpson calls CNN after verdict Simpson, now 66, said he was going after what was rightfully his, saying he regretted only bringing along men "who I didn't know and one I didn't trust."Exactly 13 years after he was acquitted in the murder trial, a jury found Simpson guilty on 12 charges, including kidnapping and armed robbery. He is serving a 33-year sentence, and will be eligible for parole in 2017.

Lloyd slaying should be dismissed??
The former New England Patriot sat passively in a blue blazer and khaki dress pants as his attorneys argued that the charges in the Lloyd slaying should be dismissed. Defense attorney James Sultan said the prosecution might be able to prove Hernandez was with Lloyd the night he was killed, but he argued that does not make Hernandez culpable.
"You can't throw a bunch of stuff at the wall. That's not probable cause," Sultan said.
Prosecutors said their evidence includes a flurry of phone calls and text messages among those involved and the fact that Lloyd's body was found about 1,000 yards from Hernandez's home in North Attleborough, where Lloyd didn't know anybody but Hernandez.
Prosecutor William McCauley also said the state's investigation into incidents in Boston, Providence and Florida show a "common pattern" of allegations of violence against Hernandez following disputes at nightclubs.
An associate of Hernandez, Alexander Bradley, has filed a lawsuit alleging that Hernandez shot him in the face in Florida after they argued at a strip club.
Also during Monday's court hearing, Hernandez pleaded not guilty to charges that he attacked a handcuffed inmate and threatened to kill a guard and his family while at a county jail in Dartmouth.
A tentative trial date of Oct. 6 has been set in the Lloyd murder case. The judge did not immediately rule on the motion to dismiss the murder charge.

The verdict came down just before noon on Friday.
When the verdict was read, Kenan Gay and family broke out in tears.

There's a lot of anxiousness as people wait and wonder what the jury's verdict will be in the Kenan Gay second degree murder trial. Thursday was a long day of waiting.
Kenan Gay throughout the trial has been sitting next to his defense lawyers but while the jury was out of the courtroom he sat next to his wife and his family on one of the benches. The majority of victim's family has been waiting in another room.
Family members and supporters of Kenan Gay as well as family and supporters of Robert Kingston's family waited inside the Mecklenburg County courthouse for the jury's verdict.
Judge Forrest Don Bridges said the word verdict means speak the truth. The judge told the jurors before they started deliberating that they are the fact finders. Seven women and five men have plenty to discuss before coming to a conclusion. And they have three choices, 2nd degree murder, involuntary manslaughter or not guilty. And if they are hopelessly deadlocked, they could be a hung jury.
Jurors have heard several different versions about the night Robert Kingston died. They have to decide if prosecutors have proven beyond a reasonable doubt what happened two years ago outside a Dilworth bar wasn't an accident. How Kingston ended up in Park Road and struck by a car is what jurors will need to consider. The defense has insisted his .29 blood alcohol content put him there, while the state says Gay is the reason.
The jury did ask one question Thursday morning about looking at a photo taken by the police at night outside Ed's Tavern. There was some confusion about which photo they wanted to see so they were talking. They appeared to be getting along and cooperating. There didn't appear to be anyone who made up their mind.
Around 5 o'clock, they told the judge they were at a good stopping point. They'll be back Friday at 9:30 a.m. to continue their deliberations. Lawyers on both sides say there's no way to determine how long it will take.
