AMW actually got a tip identifying who that guy was - turns out he was an ex-police officer that was childhood friends with John Gotti. That, interestingly, was the last time AMW aired this case (January 2009). My guess is the unknown man at the funeral was the best lead they'd had in years, and once it was disproven as Quartieri, they were back at square one. I also wonder if there was an age enhanced sketch ever made, that would help a lot. I don't really think he is dead, because when one is a mobster, he remains it for the rest of his life. He has certainly changed his identity and perhaps got a "higher" rank in the mob but isn't living definitely in the same era where the crime happened.

He must have been hiding and living in a rural area under a false alias. Were there even dna tests conducted on the cigarettes butts found near the tombstone of his mother?

I would agree he is a very underrated fugitive in the grand scheme of things and had he been profile more earlier on he could have been caught. Agreed with you, if his age enhanced sketch was published regularly in the local and national news papers as well as shown every day on local and national tv chanels , it would have helped to catch him

A rare photo of Leo Burt's older FBI publication order I found, including an age-enhanced photo of him. I remember of a thread dedicated to him on the old forums where he was responsible for a bombing. I do wonder if his age enhanced sketch was published in the local newspapers and shown on the local tv chanels. Like you, I am pretty sure as well that he lives under a false identity in the same area than before.

So Chesimard gets a free pass? No she was a member of the black panthers, which was and still is a radical terrorist group. She killed a law enforcement officer in cold blood, so her place should be on death row in the gas chamber or the electric chair. I don't believe in a single word of her jibberish false bullsh*t claiming that she was beaten and tortured. Otherwise make her pass a test with the lie detector and we will see. Fair trial for law enforcement officers and cop killers doesn't exist, either death penalty or jail for life.

Hey there, I sent a private message unsure if you'd post or not but you did. Anyway thanks for joining and this is very interesting. Usually something like this should be private as to not tip a fugitive off but obviously you already sent in the tip over a decade ago and nothing came out of it so this is a bit different of a situation. My only suggestion would be to e-mail the Ohio Highway Patrol at ohp@dps.state.oh.us since they have Eubanks on their MW list and maybe they can do something. Even if this guy isn't Eubanks, it does sound like he was trying to hide something. Sounds a good idea, also putting the fbi and us marshals in close copy of the email might help too

Especially since as of the early 90s we knew where he was and was still alive. Speaking of knowing where he is, here is the obituary for his father from 2012. It says he is still alive and living in Columbus. It also says he has siblings who are still living. I wonder if they know where he is: MANSFIELD: Rev. Mose L. EUBANKS, 89, died Monday, March 26, 2012 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. Rev. Eubanks was born on Friday, June 23, 1922 to the late Mose and Littie Critchfield Eubanks, Sr. in Blairsville, Pennsylvania.(Indiana County) He had lived in Mansfield, Ohio (Richland County) the past 85 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II, self-employed contractor and owner of Eubanks Masonry. A member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, where his heart remained, but he answered a calling from the Lord to become the pastor at First Baptist Church of Crestline where he labored until he retired in 2010. He believed in learning and teaching and at the age of 84, Rev. Eubanks received his Associates Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Master's International School of Divinity in Evansville, Indiana. Mose is survived by 3 daughters: Diana Burroughs, Columbus, Ohio, Bonita (Jerome) Morgan, Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Marian Sanders, Bremerton, Washington; 4 sons: Clarence "Butch" and "LESTER EUBANKS", Columbus, Chris (Sheila) Brindle of Tacoma, Washington, John Eubanks of Atlanta, 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a very special and dear friend: Dan Barnhill, Mansfield. Very interesting facts. So if the authorities knew where his relatives are located, why haven't they ever questioned them? Not to mention if the age enhanced sketch was ever published in the local newspapers and shown on the local tv chanels ?

I'm not the best expert either but according to the History channel show I watched it's basically every bill has a serial number and when you use it it can be traced. And apparently before they gave him the money, they made sure to make note of the serial numbers and such. So if D.B. Cooper were to like buy something from a Wal-Mart in Chattanooga, Tennessee using one of those bills, the FBI would be alerted and they'd all be rushing over there, or something like that. I'm sorry I'm not the best at explaining this either. I remember about this case on the old forums, here are interesting links about it fbi closes db cooper's casedb cooper's casedb cooperI think he planned everything in advance and had experience in para jumping, whether he is alive or not, this is and will remain an unsolved question. But as a matter of fact authorities never found a body. He might of survived the jumped but got injured when he landed. It would be like hitting a brick wall when he landed and he might of fracture a couple of things. He had a knife and experience in surviving the wilderness. The placard was found near Castle Rock, Washington north of Lake Merwin. He could of jumped in that area and that proves the FBI landing area was wrong. There's a PRIVATE campground in the area of Lake Merwin and might of hiked and camped there several times. He was wearing all black and jumped at night so know one will see him. He knew the area around Lake Merwin well. The rest of the money is probably buried in different spots around or/and near Lake Merwin waiting to be discover. This guy buried everything. He knew he could never spend any of the money. He hiked to his destination with just the clothes on his back leaving the money behind. He might of burned the majority of the money he had hijacked destroying evidence including the papers. He probably rented a cabin or farm house near Lake Merwin. It was a four day weekend. He went back to his ordinary life after mailing four LETTERS to taunt the FBI.

Thoughts? Since I expect to be somewhat busy the next few days I'm submitting my weekly exclusive fugitive case tonight before I forget. I also figure to give some variety, we'd put an alleged con artist fugitive in the forum exclusive section, since although we have many in the fugitives on tv categories, we have none currently in this section. This is a bit unique in that Casey is believed to have access to a firearm. While any fugitive on the run should be assumed armed and dangerous no matter what they're accused of, people tend not to think of con artists as physically dangerous. Scum, yes, but not dangerous. But with possible access to a weapon and having been associated with known felons, it's understandable why the FBI is not taking any chances with Casey. Casey was born in North Carolina and I'm assuming may still have ties there, but with millions of dollars he allegedly stole, it could have financed him to flee anywhere in the world. He has perhaps a new identity and a new home elsewhere outside the USA. More or less the same than Simon Mogleievich another well known fraudster and russian mobster.

Completely in agreement with you and the detectives that Maria Montalvo is a very deranged fugitive murder suspect. Now in regards to Maria's children turning up in Indiana with relatives, did the relatives live in Indiana or live in Texas and take the children up to Indiana. The article wasn't clear on that. Good point on the Indiana aspect. There seems to some sort of connection regardless. Were there any further developments or enlightments on the Indiana connection?

Do these judges let dangerous child rapists out on bail because the police department or city hall is starved for funding and they'd do anything to cover the deficits? According to what I've Google searched, bond money goes to the court. I realize it's not the best source but it's also what I had already assumed as well. These decisions though are corruption at worst and incompetency at best. It is far worse than incompetency, it is utter stupidity and complete irresponsibility.Wonder if his photo was published in the local newspapers and shown on the local tv chanels.

New Mexico is a quite a distance from Wisconsin, so it sounds like Eric Eskola could be anywhere in the US, even though the Midwest is still the most likely location. The fear with any fugitive sex offender is that they've victimized more children while on the run so hopefully that has not happened yet, although knowing these people he could have reoffended already within the past year. Was the picture of him published in the national and local newspapers as well as shown in the local and national tv chanels?
