From ID Crime Feed:
On October 8, 2018 police in Austin, TX find Mary Ramos in a horrific state. Ramos was beaten, bleeding and left in front of an apartment. Once she's transported to the hospital, doctors discover two separate bleeds on her brain combined with multiple facial fractures. She was forced to use a feeding tube and had to have many surgeries to repair the damage.
Investigators soon learned the person allegedly responsible was Frederick Alan McCaskill. Authorities say Mary was attempting to end the relationship with McCaskill and it almost turned deadly. In November 2018, only one month after the incident, McCaskill confessed to his role in the crime. But before a formal case could be brought forward, McCaskill took off and hasn't been seen since.

Thoughts? McCaskill was aired on last night's episode of In Pursuit with John Walsh, confirming he is unfortunately still at large at least as of March 11th, 2020. The episode mentioned an additional clue in that McCaskill may be looking for work in the food service industry. On the episode, Callahan Walsh interviewed the lead detective, Mary Ramos's friend and neighbor, and Mary herself.
I hope they get this guy soon. I feel there were two symbolic descriptions that illustrate just how brutal this attack was. The lead detective on this case thought Mary was a red head only to discover it was only because of the blood all over her hair that he thought that. Additionally, even Mary's neighbor and friend who found her and called 911 didn't even realize the victim was Mary, and said "you'll be okay Ma'am" to her. Guys as allegedly violent as McCaskill don't change. I am very thankful Mary survived, but that may not be the case with the next woman who dates McCaskill.
