In March of 2013, then 40-year-old Armando Briseno-Alonso, a teacher at the Rogers Street Academy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was charged with allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulting one of his students.
According to investigators, a 12-year-old boy told them Briseno-Alonso had been assaulting him since he was in the third grade in 2010.
Police said the boy told them Briseno-Alonso would ask the class, "Who wants to help put books away?" and then take him into another classroom where the alleged assaults would take place. Other articles state the boy had used his mother's cellphone ob February 28th, 2013 to warn Briseno-Alonso that he would tell his mother about the inappropriate contact.
A $10,000 bond was set as he was scheduled to appear in court on March 12th, 2013.
It seems Briseno-Alonso would make his court dates until he failed to appear on July 15th, 2013. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest and it is believed he fled to Mexico. As of this posting date (February 2nd, 2020), Wisconsin court records still show "open- bench warrant issued" and "filed only- warrant issued." If caught and convicted, Briseno-Alonso faces up to 60 years in prison.
