The Robeson County Sheriff Office is searching for a man and two teens after an alleged attack at a home in Pembroke.
Deputies responded to the 1400 block of St. Anna Rd., Pembroke late Friday evening in reference to a person assaulted. They located a woman who had been cut across the neck. Deputies say her boyfriend was responsible for the injury. The woman was transported to an undisclosed medical center for treatment and is expected to recover from the injuries.
Daniel Burris, 38, of St. Anna Rd., Pembroke is wanted in relation to the assault according to Sheriff Burnis Wilkins. Burris is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Burris was last seen walking from his residence on St. Anna Road with his 13 and 11 year old sons.
Sheriff Wilkins encourages anyone who is a victim of domestic violence to seek assistance from Southeastern Family Violence Center by calling (910) 739-8622. Robeson County Sheriff’s Office also has staff who assist domestic violence victims.
Pembroke Police Department officers and K9 unit assisted with the investigation.
Robeson County Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident. Anyone with information about the incident or whereabouts of Burris and sons is asked to contact Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 671-3170 or (910) 671-3100.

Thoughts? Based on local news reports, Burris was still at large at least as of December 21st, 2019. Unfortunately, I haven't found any information on the boys yet, perhaps they haven't offically been declared as missing yet as to the reason, but I still feel the fact that Burris is believed to have his boys with him is serious enough to make this a breaking news case.
