From The Houston Chronicle:
Police are actively searching for a wanted fugitive of a hit-and-run crash involving four vehicles in Waller Sunday that left a Katy woman and her unborn child dead.
Latrice Frederick, 34, of Katy, was parked in a 2001 Buick Century on the southbound shoulder on FM-359 when she was struck by a 2006 white Cadillac CTS travelling "over the posted speed," according to a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). The impact of the crash forced Frederick's Buick to strike the rear of 2012 Honda Accord, after which the Accord struck the rear of a 2011 Hyundai Sonata that was disabled on the shoulder as well, according to DPS.
Frederick was transported to Herman Memorial Hospital Houston by Life Flight where she and her unborn child were later both pronounced dead, according to police. Two other passengers, Terry Frederick, 52, of Brookshire and Daniel Williams, 48, of Brookshire, were transported to local hospitals.
The driver of the Cadillac identified as Angel Aviles-Perez, 37, of Sealy, was last seen fleeing on foot west of the crash scene, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans. Aviles-Perez is wanted on charges of manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid, both felony offenses, according to police. He is described as a Hispanic male between 5'5" and 5'7" in height and approximately 160 to 180 in weight.
The driver of the Honda, Sharon G. Williams, 49, of Hempstead, was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. The driver of the Hyundai, Danesha Williams, 26, of Hempstead, was also transported to St. Joseph Hospital, according to police.
Anyone that has information on the fatal crash is asked to contact the Texas DPS office in Hempstead at (979)826-7647 or Texas DPS Pierce at (979)541-4595.

Thoughts? Based on local news reports, Aviles-Perez was still at large at least as of last night (September 3rd, 2019). This is such a heartbreaking case and I hope they find Aviles-Perez enough.
