Actually Tonya Dice was last aired on March 31, 2001. Fellow AMW bad girl Hazel Head was also featured on that episode and is still at large. web.archive.org/web/20040612213553/http://www2.amw.com/site/thisweek/CS_20010331.htmlAnyway, she had been living in a small Georgia community for probably quite some time. That's probably what Head's been doing and also perhaps how Vickie Nash has been hiding out since 1979. Excellent news.

Ah, I should have known better than to trust that article . I remember some members on the old AMW.com forum speculated that she was dead. PS. Thanks for joining, I'm sorry you're the only other one so far. I'm trying to think of how to promote this without spamming other places.

There's a new article about her that's actually pretty interesting, it turns out Tonya Dice was not hear real name and she was on the run using her real given birth name- Jessica Keil! It also turns out what set the ball in motion to her capture was when she tried to adopt a child under her real name in 2010: daltondailycitizen.com/local/x503840835/-Right-in-front-of-our-faces

Well, normally I wouldn't call using your actual name while on the run smart, but it seemed to work in this case. She did eventually get caught though.

It only took a jury two hours to find Foster not guilty.
In retrospect, based on the article, the verdict is not entirely surprising. Dice and one other witness had troubled pasts, and Dice herself was once accused of murder. And these were the star witnesses. In addition, Prosecutors went for "all or nothing" and only charged Foster with first-degree murder, and did not also include lesser charges such as manslaughter. I've always stressed in the past- a not guilty verdict does not mean a person is innocent. But it does mean the Prosecution did not prove their case. They went for all or nothing, and apparently did not prove first-degree murder, their only charge.
Still feel terrible for the family of Freddie Bumfield though.
So anyway, a brief synopsis of Tonya Dice's time on the run:
January 1995- Freddie Brumfield found shot to death
June 1995- Tonya Dice interviewed, admits to being at the scene of the murder.
July 1995- Tonya Dice goes missing
1999- Dice charged in shooting, gets aired on AMW
2012- Dice captured in Georgia after 17 years on the run
2015- Dice given to immunity to testify against alleged trigger man
April 2015- Alleged trigger man found not guilty.
*sigh*
