From ktuu.com:
ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - An Eagle River man who was convicted in 2016 and signed a plea deal admitting his guilt has been sentenced by a U.S. district court judge to serve 14 years in prison. The only problem is, no one knows where he is.
According to court documents, 45-year-old Eagle River resident Joshua Michael Evans was in possession of graphic videos of minors as young a five years old being exploited by adult men. He allegedly shared those videos online with others.
Evans was scheduled to be sentenced in 2017, and was deemed a low enough risk to be on pretrial release ahead of the sentence. That's when he disappeared.
Now, Evans has been sentenced in absentia, and authorities are looking to bring him in to face that 14 years behind bars. In addition to the time in prison, Evans will also be sentenced to a lifetime term of supervised release. First, authorities need to find him.
According to a release from the US. attorney's office in Alaska, multiple agencies are hunting for Evans, including the U.S. Probation Office, the FBI, and the Alaska State Troopers. The Anchorage Police Department also issued a community alert for his arrest.
Anyone with knowledge of Evans' whereabouts are encouraged to contact the FBI in Alaska first, by calling 907-276-4441.

Thoughts? As of May 8th, 2018, there is still a Nixle.com alert for Evans (that is usually a pretty good system that is up-to-date whenever someone is captured), so I'm assuming he's still wanted as of this posting date based on that: local.nixle.com/alert/6449161/
Also, I can't figure a way to link to the post itself but I did see this from the Alaska Most Wanted page in 2017 back when Evans first disappeared:
"MISSING. Joshua Evans is missing. He is being looked for by the police as he is suicidal and off his meds. He left a suicide note as his voice mall and drove off with camping gear in his car. His wife is trying to find him and she is a wreck. No nasty comments are needed here please. If you see him call the police. We want him home safe. He is a bit over 6 feet tall maybe 230lbs and unlike the picture is clean shaven right now. If you see him or his call please contact your local police. He could be anywhere in Alaska. We need to find him safe and sound."
This is the Alaska Most Wanted page and if you scroll down you can probably find the post: www.facebook.com/Alaska-Most-Wanted-822300867823937/
It does seem a rare case in which both family (or his wife at least) and law enforcement are trying to find the fugitive. Understandably, some will be less than sympathetic considering what Evans already plead guilty to. However, often or perhaps more often than not even in fugitive cases, we have family actively trying to hide and cover-up a fugitive's whereabouts. So in my opinion, Evans' wife/family does deserve some credit for wanting to make sure he's alive knowing it means he's going to jail for a long time if he's found safe, rather than just hoping he gets away with it. So regardless of if Evans is alive or dead, and regardless of how much sympathy he deserves, law enforcement, Evans' wife & family, and the victims in the videos all need closure in the case, and hopefully that can happen one day.
