From theadvertiser.com:
Apartment manager Laurie Hebert said she called 911 moments after a shot was fired on Thanksgiving morning that left a man dead.
Lafayette police were called to the West Congress Street apartment complex around 2:30 a.m. There, officers found a 41-year-old man dead in the hallway.
Wilmar Fernandez Ramirez, 30, is wanted for second-degree murder.
Police have not released the victim’s name, not even to Hebert. She said she has no idea if the victim lived at the complex.
She said Ramirez’s name is not on her tenant records. The apartments are in a quiet residential neighborhood near Adrien’s grocery and a pizza delivery service.
“The tenant in the apartment where the shooting happened sometimes played his music too loud, that’s the only complaint I ever had about him,” Hebert said. “A tenant called me to say he heard a shot come from that apartment. I called 911 then went over there to see if I could figure out what was going on.
“The apartment door was wide open and no one seemed to be in the area. It’s as if everyone disappeared as soon as the shooting happened.”
Hebert said police response time was “very fast” but she wished she knew the deceased is and what his connection was, if any, to the apartment building.
Lafayette police Cpl. Paul Mouton said no further information has been released by investigators. Detectives are asking anyone with information as to Ramirez’s whereabouts to contact the U.S. Marshal’s Violent Offenders Task Force at 337-281-8236.

Thoughts? I checked and Wilmar Fernandez-Ramirez is still listed as having an active warrant on the Lafayette Parrish Sheriff's Office website as of this posting date (10/7/2017): jades.lafayettesheriff.com:8888/index.php?nav=warrants&alpha=F#
