Luis Gonzalez was wanted for the 2008 death of Tia Poklemba. He allegedly ran her over twice with his vehicle after meeting her in a bar. He was aired on both Fox and Lifetime but it was the Lifetime airing that pinpointed his exact location in Mexico, thus him becoming AMW direct capture #1186 He has been found guilty of manslaughter and leaving the scene of a crash and now faces up to 60 years in prison on his charges. www.abc-7.com/story/23433566/man-found-guilty-for-death-of-tia-poklemba

Not that I'm complaining but I'm surprised he may get 60 years for a single manslaughter death. Maybe fugitives should be careful when deciding to commit crimes in Florida.

Well, usually manslaughter carries less time but I'd say the crime of repeatedly running over an innocent woman with his car was pretty brutal.

Saw an article about this case the other day(it's archived now.) Gonzalez is still in prison and from the looks of his court case file, isn't going to get any more of a sentence reduction,so his final sentence stands at 45 years. Even with good behavior,he still has to serve 85% of his sentence which means he won't be seeing freedom again until his early 60's.
